Before wiring a new 50-amp circuit for an outdoor hot tub, Nick LaBrie ran a load test on the panel and found two heat pump condensers sharing a 50-amp fuse with the stove, according to a July 2026 Google review; the customer had a new home run put in so the condensers got their own breaker, and Nick trenched roughly 25 feet to get power out to the tub. Nick LaBrie is a Berkshire County electrician, and his site lists Pittsfield, North Adams, Williamstown, Dalton, Adams and surrounding towns as his area. Google shows 4.9 stars from 43 ratings. Old-house wiring runs through the reviews. In a February 2026 review, a customer said he disconnected and removed all of the knob and tube in the house without cutting a single hole in the wall, handled everything from permit to the end of the job and finished well under budget. A June 2025 customer had electrical updates done in an 1880s house, including new lines, a stove vent and lighting. In December 2025, a customer with an 1850s home said he consulted twice on remediations without pressuring them to do anything unnecessary. An August 2022 review describes lights flashing and outlets cutting out; he traced it to water getting in at the service meter box, pulled the permit and made the replacements in less than two days. Panel and service work comes up too: a February 2026 panel upgrade with a mains cable on the outside of the house that the customer called neat and sturdy, a January 2026 underground circuit to a detached garage for an EV charger, and wiring, panel upgrades and 220 circuits for new appliances in a December 2022 review. Smaller jobs appear as well, from a 220 outlet for a table saw in December 2025 to an August 2026 customer who said he showed them how to swap two-prong outlets for three-prong ones. Fair pricing is mentioned in several reviews, and the July 2026 hot tub customer wrote that he is not the electrician for anyone hunting for the cheapest bid. The Better Business Bureau rates it A+. His Massachusetts electrician licence 22955-EL-A is active on the state registry, with Nick LaBrie as holder of record.
Nick is an awesome electrician with great knowledge and always fair with prices! If you're on the fence about who to call for electrical work, stop searching — Nick LaBrie Electric is the best decision we made on our entire outdoor hot tub project. From the very first step, it was clear we were dealing with a true professional: before touching a single wire, Nick ran a full load test to make sure our electrical panel could actually support a new 50-amp circuit. In doing so, he caught something we had no idea about — our two heat pump condensers were sharing a 50-amp fuse with our stove, which was not to code nor safe. Instead of quietly ignoring it, he immediately brought it to our attention. We collectively decided to run a brand-new home run so the condensers finally would have their own dedicated breaker. That's the kind of thoroughness and integrity you just don't find anymore, especially when you work with a large electric company with 40 trucks. Nick did everything on the job himself, which is ideal. He pulled permits for both the hot tub and the new condenser wiring, which is always the smartest way to handle electrical projects. He then trenched roughly 25 feet from the house to get power out to the tub, and every piece of the job was done with the same level of care — like it was his own home he was wiring, not just another job on his schedule. Nick is not the guy for anyone hunting for the cheapest bid or someone willing to cut corners. But if you want the most honest, hardworking, knowledgeable, and genuinely great-to-work-with master electrician around, he is hands-down the one to call. Electrical inspector threw extra requests his way? No problem — nothing fazes Nick! Impeccable work, incredible attitude, fast, and total peace of mind. We cannot recommend Nick LaBrie Electric enough!
Nick upgraded our panel and did a very precise, professional job. We especially appreciated his work on the outside of the house, where the mains cable upgrade was very neat and sturdy. We would definitely work with him again.
Nick is excellent to work with. His expert installation and skill enabled him to disconnect and remove all of the knob and tube in my house without having to cut a single hole in the wall. Not only that he worked quickly and completed the job well under budget. I would work with Nick again anytime. He was trustworthy, and I was able to leave him alone to work in my home on days I couldn’t be there with confidence. From permit to end of job Nick took care of everything needed and made things a super smooth process! Hire him and know you can be confident in his skill and craftsmanship!
Nick is really honest, hard working, on time, and neat. Im glad I found him.
