NightLife Oil Burner Service is a one-man oil-heat company run by Chris Granger out of 19 Windsor Drive in Ashland, Massachusetts. He writes that he worked 25 years in the oil service industry before starting the business in 2006, and the Better Business Bureau's file agrees on the start date, recording a sole proprietorship with one employee and twenty years in business. The work is heating-system service and replacement rather than fuel delivery: furnaces, boilers, oil tanks and hot water heaters, oil-line upgrades to code, and annual tune-ups. He runs 24-hour service, does not require a service contract, and says he refers customers to a discount fuel company to buy their oil — an unusual arrangement that is worth understanding before you sign up. The customer feedback is small in number but consistent and specific, and it names the people doing the work. A June 2026 customer described Zach and Derek arriving on time for an annual tune-up and going beyond it to troubleshoot a hot water supply problem. A December 2025 customer described Zach hunting down furnace parts nobody had, getting the Lenox factory in Wilmington to stay open, and restoring heat by 7:15 that evening. A February 2026 reviewer wrote simply that 'Chris and his son are great' and that a heat problem got fast service. Every review body on file is five stars, and there are only four of them behind Google's 5-star average from six ratings, so treat this as a small, recent, positive record rather than a long proven one. The service area he lists — Ashland, Dover, Framingham, Holliston, Hopkinton, Marlboro, Medway, Milford, Millis, Natick, Sherborn, Southboro, Upton and Wayland — is his own claim. Two housekeeping notes. The BBB profile is not an endorsement or a warning: the business is not BBB Accredited and BBB says it has too little information to issue a rating at all. And Porch's 4.3 stars is not an independent score — Porch states on the page that the figure is 'based on 12 online reviews' collected elsewhere.
“Just did mine today with nightlife oil for about 7k. Great service and communication.”
Zach and Derek showed up on time, did an extremely thorough job with the annual tune up. Went above and beyond explaining and troubleshooting an issue with the hot water supply. Well worth the once a year expense by true professionals, who actually care about their customers and their own reputation. Don't get caught in a trap to save a few dollars with the larger companies' gimmicks, who don't care whether you come or go. Your piece of mind is well worth it!
Chris and his son are great, had a few issues with my heat and they provided fast and exceptional service. I highly recommend this company
What a great service. Thank you Zach. He spent a long time trying to find the parts for my furnace so I could have heat again. No matter where he called no one had the parts. He called the Lenox factory in Wilmington and they were willing to stay open till his assistant got there through rush hour traffic. They got to my house at 6:30 pm and we had heat by 7:15. Thank you Zach
These guys are awesome. They came right over. Very friendly. Got the job done right. I would recommend nightlife to any home owner in the area.
