That is what one customer described in March 2013, adding that the final bill matched the estimate exactly. Another that month said John turned up within thirty minutes of a call about a broken window. The written history is long but dated: 25 Angi reviews running from 2012 to April 2023. The jobs in them are the everyday repair and small-renovation work the company advertises. In March 2023 a customer had a basement wall built and insulated, a bathroom floor regrouted, a bathroom painted and a handful of handyman items dealt with in a single booking. In January 2023 another said the crew went back to the store more than once to fetch the extra materials the job turned out to need. In December 2019 a rotted kitchen window was taken out and replaced, inside and out, on time and on budget, and a hickory family room floor was laid the same month. The older accounts show some judgement about floors. In February 2013 a homeowner who had three flooring contractors out wrote that John spotted the boards were antique yellow pine and recommended refinishing them rather than covering them with new flooring, which cost less and looked better. The caveat is scheduling. A customer in July 2013 wrote that the crew worked part-time evening hours and the job took twice as long as expected, fine for them but a problem if you have a deadline; Angi's profile still names that as the downside. On paper the Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #164333, is active on the state registry, and the Better Business Bureau grades the company A+ without accreditation. How long it has been going depends where you look: its own site says fifteen years, the BBB file says twenty-five, and Angi says thirty-two. For repairs, window work, flooring or a small addition on the South Shore, this is a registered, long-established shop whose customers kept describing estimates that held. Ask how many hours a week your job will actually get, and put the schedule in writing before work starts.
