Wide-pine floors worn by years of dog scratches came back smooth after refinishing, according to a June 2021 O’Brien Flooring customer. The company describes itself as a hardwood flooring contractor working since 2004 and offers free estimates. Its Houzz profile lists hardwood installation, sanding, refinishing and repair; in its own profile statement, the business says it can install a pattern in an existing floor before sanding.
The June 2021 reviewer praised Kelly’s prompt text replies and said the refinishers arrived on time, worked until the job was finished and cleaned up afterward. Living in a rural area, that customer said they obtained an estimate by sending floor photographs and room measurements. They also said O’Brien’s estimate was lower than one from a competitor.
A February 2022 customer described sanding and refinishing wood floors and stairs. When the crew arrived, a pipe had burst; the reviewer said they immediately helped protect the house and praised how the floors turned out. A September 2025 reviewer who had used the business at several properties praised its professionalism, reliability and work. More recently, a May 2026 customer praised the finished floors and said the company was easy to work with. Google shows 4.4 stars from eight ratings.
An August 2022 customer reported a billing problem after years of using the company for floor sanding in apartments and flips. They said an invoice was accidentally paid twice and that the overpayment had not been returned despite several promises. I used them exclusively for floor sanding for several years in my apartments and flips. Awhile back we double paid them and invoice by mistake. After several promises to send the overpayment back I have still not received anything. The owner's sister used to run the company in when she left everything went downhill.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this company. We had them come to sand and refinish our wood floors and stairs. Not only are the floors beautiful but when they showed up a pipe had burst and they immediately took care of doing everything possible to save our house. They went above and beyond more than any company has ever done.
I couldn't be more pleased with the service and refinishing! My floors are wide pine so more challenging than hard wood. They came out smooth and all the years of dog scratches and worn areas are gone. Beautiful job! Kelly was wonderful to work with and returned all my texts promptly. The refinishers showed up right on time, worked not stop until the job was done, and cleaned up well after themselves. Getting an estimate was easy. Since I live in a rural area I only needed to send pictures of my floors and measure the rooms. I tried to get another estimate from a competitor (Dion's) and twice I waited home all day and they never showed up. They said they couldn't find my house but they never even called! When I finally did get their estimate it was more than O'Brien's but that isn't the only reason I didn't choose them. Good service starts from the first contact!
