Pedro Silva Electric & Alarm has two very different histories. One is a run of quick service calls — same-day visits, a fixed switch, lights back on. The other is a string of customers who paid a deposit and say the work never happened and the money never came back. The deposit complaints are specific. In a May 2024 Google review, a family said they hired Pedro the previous October for a $14,000 job, paid $9,000, and by May 18, 2024 the job had not been started; they said he would not refund the deposit and had stopped communicating. An April 2024 reviewer said Pedro was hired in July 2023, no work had been completed, a refund they had requested had not arrived, and they were moving toward legal action. A November 2022 reviewer said they paid $3,700 toward a $5,200 job on May 18 and six months later no work had been done and no money returned. On BuildZoom, a June 2020 reviewer said Pedro could not start a job, was terminated on 6/15/20, and had not returned a $3,450 deposit. A February 2020 Angi reviewer, a small business owner, said a promised partial refund of a $1,900 down payment had not arrived three weeks later. The most recent written review is from May 2024. BBB grades the company B- and shows one complaint on file. The earlier, smaller jobs read very differently. In a December 2019 Angi review, a customer described Pedro staying about 12 hours through frigid temperatures and a snow squall to finish a generator installation after a two-hour delivery delay, then testing the unit several times. An April 2020 reviewer had a sub-panel added and a hot water tank wired. In December 2021, a Google reviewer had canless kitchen lights, smoke detectors and two Nest thermostats installed, and when one light flickered the crew came back the same week. Several 2021 Google reviewers described same-day or next-day visits. In 2023, two reviewers named Pedro and Tyler, one for electrical work at an apartment building they own. Angi shows 4.8 stars from 65 ratings; Google shows 3.9 from 29.
If there was a zero star review that's exactly what I would be giving him he was hired for a job back in October 23 the job estimate total was 14,000 it is currently May 18th 2024 the job has not even been started nor has he done anything to even do the job he's been paid $9,000 and repeatedly tells us that he has other jobs lined up and that he can't get to us but took a 9,000 deposit won't refund it and is now cease to communicate with us at all I do not recommend this business at all and I will reporting him to the license board I am coming for his license you are not going to leave a family that has six kids in the house with electrical issues without able to use the ACs this summer because of him and the fact that I'm coming to find out that he is done this to multiple people is absolutely absurd that he still has his license and he still practicing to be electrician in Massachusetts do not hire him

If no stars was an option… I would under no circumstances suggest doing business with Pedro. He was hired July 2023 for a project, it’s currently April 2024- no work has been completed a refund was requested in Feb 2024 (that has no yet been received, but he had no problem cashing my dads check). At this time we are needing to move forward with legal action to get a refund for work never completed, as Pedro ignores communication or tells me he’ll be in touch with my father but never reaches out. He doesn’t take initiative with reaching out to clients to provide information or timeframes it has always been my dad or I reaching out and receiving excuse after excuse. This business process has scam written all over it.
What a great people to come in your house, they are so nice, they will make you feel comfortable as soon as Pedro introduces himself,very professional, trustworthy and friendly. If I ever needed it any electrical work, I will definitely go with Pedro Silva and his team.
