Peter Paone HVAC answers fast, by its customers' telling: a June 2025 Thumbtack reviewer had a technician out within hours, and Bobby talked through the options and repaired their AC. The Melrose company installs, repairs and maintains heating, air conditioning, ductless mini-splits and water heaters across the North Shore, and Peter Paone says he started in HVAC over 20 years ago helping his uncle. In a July 2026 review, a condo customer said Bobby flushed three hot water tanks in the building, replaced a nipple on one and rebuilt a running toilet tank. A September 2025 Angi reviewer said Peter and Mark replaced HVAC dampers and a control panel with every question answered ahead of time, and a June 2024 reviewer described a mini-split installed quickly by Peter's crew. Water heaters come up several times, including 2025 replacements and a May 2026 tankless service. Angi, HomeAdvisor and Thumbtack each show 4.8 to 4.9 stars from about 24 ratings. The one caution is from an April 2021 Angi reviewer, who advised getting a written invoice with the quoted price up front so there are no surprises at the end. Peter was easy to communicate with and very responsive. Bobby from his team flushed the 3 hot water tanks in our condo building, replaced a nipple to one hot water tank, and rebuilt a toilet tank so it would not consistently run. Bobby brought A+ service and was super friendly.
Super responsive on scheduling routine maintenance/cleaning for my HVAC system and the guy who came out couldn't have been nicer and was incredibly knowledgeable, gave me some good tips, etc. Will 100% be a regular customer!

Peter installed a water heater for me and was fast to respond, sent his guys out quickly, completed the job professionally, and was easy to work with.
Peter and Mark were very professional. I needed to replace the HVAC dampers and the communication with Peter was excellent and we had all questions answered ahead of time so we didnt have any last minute surprises. They showed up on time and installed the dampers and the HVAC control panel. Very thorough and clean with their work. I've already recommended them to my neighbors.
