US Fuels works out of the Falite Building at 376 Washington St in Malden, and by its own account has been doing heating oil and heating-system work there since 1981, putting it at 43 years in business. Its written record is short but pointed, and it runs the full range. In a 2020 review, a customer said the crew showed up on time on both days of a job, worked quickly, and cleaned up before leaving, calling the service professional and recommending it highly. A 2016 review told a similar story after a furnace replacement at a Crescent Ave home, describing the crew as polite, clean, and easy to deal with, with a specific nod to owner Richie's manner on-site. Two older reviews describe a rougher experience. A 2016 account said a newly installed heating system needed six no-heat callbacks within a month, and that Richie was dismissive and called the customer a jerk when they pushed back. A 2015 review separately called the crew unprofessional and said they blocked the street during a job. Google's own page shows a 3.5-star average from six ratings, which roughly tracks that split. Given the install callback and how that complaint says it was handled, it's worth asking directly about warranty terms and what happens if a new system doesn't hold heat right away. The Better Business Bureau lists the company as not accredited and not rated, without further detail.
