Easy from start to finish. Thank you guys!!
I contacted Chris on 4/4/25 about a connection problem that I had with my Fujitsu Airstage mini-split system. Two of the indoor units did not communicate with their remotes, and the remotes were the only way to change the setting from heat to cooling, from low fan speed to high fan speed, etc. I was only able to run the units on and off manually but there was no manual mechanism to change their settings otherwise, without using remote controls. Chris responded that he would come over on 4/9 to check it out. I contacted him on 4/8 at 11:00am and again at 4:00pm to confirm our appointment. He replied at 10:00pm and confirmed. He came over the next day (4/9) and checked out the system. He said they needed new sensors and new remotes. He said he was going to get the parts and would come back the following week (week of 4/14) to make the repair. We communicated again the next day (4/10) and he said he would price out the job and would get back to me. (With two new sensors and two new remotes to replace, the job was likely going to cost me $100s of dollars.) Not having heard back from him for 8 days, I contacted him on 4/18 to follow up and asked when he could come back to do the job. He replied 4 days later on 4/22 that he didn’t have the parts that he needed and he would call me when he had them. I contacted him again on 4/25 to find out what happened and asked him to please let me know if he didn’t want to do the job. No reply ever! Basically, he ghosted me and wasted at least 6 weeks of my time. Finally, I decided to contact another HVAC company, SILA. They sent a technician the next day. The technician reprogrammed the two remote controls in front of me which took him less than a minute. He charged me $90, which I gladly paid. And BTW, I made a huge mistake by buying the FUJITSU brand. Their product is inferior. They don’t answer calls to their customer service number. Instead, regardless of what weekday and what time of the day you call their Customer Service, a recording says: “There is no one available at this time, goodbye.” Then, the line disconnects!
Chris is fantastic and a true Fujitsu aficionado. He fixed my mini-split air conditioning system in the nick of time, just when the temperatures hit 90s. The guy who installed it initially did a terrible job and the boards kept short-circuiting. After replacing them multiple times and essentially voiding my warranty, he had the audacity to tell me that I need to start paying him to fix the problems he caused himself… had multiple technicians take a look at this over the past three years, and nobody was able to solve it, with people quoting me anywhere between $2-5k. Within minutes of arriving, Chris identified the root cause of the problem – two fuses were burnt. He ordered them and replaced them, and we had air conditioning for the first time in three years!!!. All said and done, it was $300 only took a few minutes. I'm calling him and no one else for any future maintenance.
Chris and his team did a really great job installing my mini splits. They were extremely detailed in the process and were very easy to work with. I had a few schedule issues and they were so easy to work with in regards to some last minute changes. I went through the Mass Save program for the work too and Chris was extremely helpful with that process and had good resource available for additional help through all of that. Extremely satisfied with the work and the company!
Pope Cooling & Heating was top notch from start to finish. From the very first call all the way through adding central heat and air in my house. Chris is professional and courteous. Don't hesitate to use his company for any services you need done!
