I had a pool/deck installed by Precision Pools & Patios in 2021. The contract called for installing a stamped concrete deck. By 2024, the stamped concrete was flaking. Precision Pools stated the deck needed to be resealed & it would be addressed in the spring. In the spring, the stamping had completely crumbled with visible vertical cracks running through the concrete. Tim said that he would research the issue. We never heard from Tim again. Calls/messages went unreturned. Our pool deck continued to deteriorate to a dangerous level. Several masonry contractors determined that the concrete would continue to erode if fixed because Tim did not adhere to the American Concrete Institute industry standard when installing a pool deck on a sand base. There was no base material, and the wire mesh was placed too low to have any substantial strengthening for the concrete. Our deck was built on compacted sand. I would not recommend Tim due to a lack of accountability for substandard/poor quality work.

My wife and I had our pool constructed by Precision Pools & Patios, LLC in 2021. It was completed around the end of August 2021. We chose to have a stamped concrete pool deck; the contract included a decorative concrete stamping system, forming, grading, compacting, installing wire mesh, pouring and leveling (3,500 psi, 4“ thick) concrete, stamped impression, integral color, release agent, and sealer. Three years later, in the fall of 2024, while closing the pool for the winter, I noticed the stamped concrete was flaking. I brought this to the attention of the pool maintenance man, who was working for Precision Pools. He stated that the deck needed to be resealed and Precision Pool/Tim would address it in the spring of 2025. By the spring of 2025, the stamping had completely crumbled; it was almost like walking on broken glass. At this point, there were also visible vertical cracks running completely through the 4 inches of concrete. I contacted Tim, who eventually came to survey the damage. After he looked at the concrete deck, he stated that he knew no reason as to why this was happening. He also mentioned that one or two other customers, who had pools installed at the same time as ours, were having the same issue. Tim blamed it on everything under the sun, including a bad batch of concrete, or issues due to COVID, or the salt air on the Cape, etc. He said that he would research the issue and get back to me. That was the last time I spoke with Tim. Numerous phone messages went unreturned. Paul, the pool maintenance man who continued to service our pool, assured me that Tim was looking into the issue. Our pool deck continued to deteriorate, and we were forced to buy outdoor rugs to cover the deck. After conferring with several masonry contractors, it was determined that they could fix the stamping issue but that they would have to return in a year or two to deal with it again, The consensus was that the concrete would continue to shift/move, causing the new stamping to again become damaged. While trying to determine the best way to proceed, we discovered that the work Tim did not adhere to the correct industry standard when installing a pool deck on a sand base. There was no base material, usually 4-6 inches of crushed gravel or stone, and that the wire mesh was placed too low to have any substantial strengthening for the concrete. I learned that the wire mesh should be placed at the upper third of a 4” slab, approximately 1 ½ inches from the top; mine was on the bottom with most or some of the mesh visible. These are the accepted industry best practices for building a concrete deck on a sand base according to the American Concrete Institute or ACI. Tim built my deck on compacted sand, nothing else. Tim’s lack of responsiveness and accountability for his substandard, poor quality work is the reason we would never recommend him or his company to anyone looking to install a pool/pool deck.

After receiving multiple estimates for an inground pool installation, we decided to have Precision Pools do our project. We decided on a 18' X 36' pool with an auto cover, lighting, and heater. Owner Tim Kelley was a pleasure to deal with through the entire process from planning to completion and maintenance. Our project involved extensive planning because cost analysis determined ideal placement of the pool was cheaper by moving our existing septic system. It allowed us to avoid placing expensive retaining walls in a less desirable location and benefit from an updated septic system. Tim handled all the engineering work, septic design, and installation. Our pool is now located right outside our back door and patio and created an amazingly convenient and esthetic outcome. Although this review is long overdue, we are able to comment on the entire process from planning to winterization. Our project came out amazing and we would highly recommend Precision Pools for your pool installation. Communication was great and Tim's staff was very respectful and considerate with our neighbors. Our project was started in the Fall of 2024 and finished by Memorial Day 2025 as promised. Having promised our grown children an inground swimming pool once grandchildren arrived, we couldn't be happier. Tim, you exceeded our expectations! Thanks, David and Lorna

We are very pleased with the beautiful pool Tim and his team created for us last summer. We spent many hours enjoying it as long as we could ( MG actually used a wetsuit to keep swimming when the temps dropped.) The tiling and deck were beautifully crafted with great care and attention to detail. Several neighbors have stopped by to admire their work. Top quality job, and a friendly and hardworking team! I’ve have had other pool companies over the years. Hands down the best pool has ever looked and been maintained.
