Quality Oil Co. delivers heating oil, and a 2026 customer from Plantsville said that after ordering oil in the middle of a blizzard, the driver arrived and filled the tank. That customer also wrote that the company runs only 2 trucks. The company describes itself on its website as a small, independently owned oil company, and says it has been in business 19 years. It lists Bristol, Plainville, Southington, Wolcott, Berlin, Cheshire, Meriden, Middlefield, Middletown, New Britain, Prospect and Wallingford as its service area. A 2022 customer said both the staff and the delivery drivers were very nice and that they had bought oil from the company for years. A 2025 Google reviewer gave one star and told others to stay away from them.
I want to recognize the Quality Oil Co. I have lived in Plantsville for over 25 years and have used other local companies. Quality is certainly not the biggest Oil Company in town (only 2 trucks), but they make up for it in service. I ordered Oil on Saturday 2/21 and in the middle of a blizzard and another 6-8 inches of snow, the driver arrived and filled the tank. I recognize that this might not happen on every purchase, but it is comforting know they have your back. I encourage everyone in town to call Quality Oil for their next fill up. Support small businesses and keep your money where it belongs, in our own town. Thanks Quality Oil.
