Rapid Response Plumbing & Heating's customers describe emergencies at bad hours. In a December 2023 Google review, a customer with a water heater emergency after business hours said Kirk walked them through shutting off the water and gas by phone and replaced the heater the next day. A January 2024 customer who woke up to a flood under the sink on the Saturday before Christmas said Kirk arrived within a few hours with everything he needed in his truck. The company says it has been run by three generations of the Freedman family since 1933, now by Scott and Eric Freedman, serving MetroWest towns from Framingham and Wellesley to Newton and Concord with plumbing, heating and air conditioning and 24-hour emergency service. BBB gives it an A+ grade. Its site lists several licence numbers, including MPL 8679 and MPL 13069. A February 2023 reviewer who first called on a New Year's Eve said the company had since replaced their boiler and water heater and cleaned up after themselves. A May 2025 customer said work on a pumping system looked good and solved all their problems.
Such a pleasure to work with these folks - Super professional, polite, neat - had them do work on a pumping system - not only does it look great - which I would never have expected - but it solved all my problems! Highly recommend.
My husband and I received an immediate, outstanding response and service from the plumber Kirk on the Saturday before Christmas. We woke up to a flood under the sink to find the garbage disposal was the culprit. Within a few hours Kirk was at our door, well presented, pleasant, professional and just enough of a sense of humor to help me deal with the unexpected problem. Every piece of equipment he needed was in his truck and installed in less than two hours. Kirk cleaned up under the sink and order was re-established for our Christmas preparations!!! We had an after normal business hours emergency with our water heater and it was so awesome to be able to get someone on the phone at that time. Kirk walked me through turning off the water and gas valves to the heater over the phone and then came out the next day to replace the water heater. Very fast,professional service.
