A recent customer whose water pump was struck by lightning said Rapid Service came out the next day and pulled and replaced the pump and wires. The company describes plumbing, boiler and electrical services for Connecticut homes, says it has been in business 39 years and offers 24/7 emergency service. It holds 4.4 stars from 78 Google ratings and an A+ grade from the BBB. A 2025 customer said Andy Ryan diagnosed water leaking from their oil heat boiler and its trouble turning on and off, fixed both issues over several visits including new electrical wiring for the boiler, and that the charges matched his original estimates. A 2024 customer said Andy and Ryan replaced two old pedestal sump pumps with submersible pumps and corrected the discharge pipes. A 2024 customer who had Andy and Ryan install a water heater later added that Andy came at 7pm on a Saturday and fixed a septic-filter backup in less than an hour. A 2023 customer said Andy arrived by noon, inspected a copper pipe leak in the basement and replaced the pipe within 15 minutes. A 2022 customer who said they were one of the company's earliest customers, 34 years ago, said it replaced a shower valve, rebuilt another, and replaced the well pressure tank and filter in one day. A 2025 customer gave one star, saying the quote for a well pump repair or replacement was $13,500 while other companies estimated $7,000 or less, and that Andy took the well cap and well adapter when they went with another company, so they had to retrieve the parts from the office. A 2022 customer said they were charged $925 to snake a backed-up toilet. A 2021 customer said a technician started adding other work and named an $89 charge that the person on the phone had not mentioned. A 2023 customer called the company expensive and said their plumbing issues were always fixed the first time. A 2020 Reddit commenter said the company helped with well water issues after they bought their house.
“When we bought our house we had water issues from our well. We called a place called rapid service and they helped us. We had a more serious problem but they will at least be able to diagnose your issue. Very nice people.”

Rapid Service LLC truly lives up to its name. I was suddenly out of water due to an electrical issue and was extremely stressed. Their team responded quickly, was compassionate and understanding, and got my water working again the same day. They were upfront about pricing, the office staff was very friendly when scheduling, and the technician explained everything clearly. Excellent customer service from start to finish. I highly recommend them! 🚰👏
We have used Rapid Service a number of times over the years and I can honestly say I would not call anyone else when I need plumbing work. They are very responsive, timely, and neat. They take the time to completely diagnose and talk you through the cause and resolution to your problem. We have two rental properties and have used them there as well. I highly recommend them.
I have been a customer of Rapid Service for years and this company has been servicing the home I own for over 2 decades. The techs are highly skilled and educated, personable and provide quality work - you get what you pay for. These techs have always gone above and beyond for me, showing up in emergency situations when I have no water or heat to my home. During this last snow storm, the tech was at my home for 6 hours to restore water and never once contemplated giving up on the task. I highly recommend this company, they have never let me down.
As a customer of Rapid Service for over 25 years, we called them this past winter to evaluate a problem with the leakage of water from our oil heat boiler and later with issues related to its turning on and off normally. Fortunately, Rapid Service responded quickly to our request (despite it occurring during the holiday season), and we were fortunate to receive a prompt diagnosis from Andy Ryan, a skilled professional with many years of experience. I was amazed to learn that he was not only a certified plumber, but also a fully-certified electrician. He explained our problems and his recommendations for addressing them very clearly. He fixed both issues with several visits, including replacement of the electrical wiring for the boiler. The charges completely agreed with his original estimates. I am truly grateful for Andy Ryan’s diligence and expertise in solving our problems in a timely fashion. I highly recommend Rapid Service for any customers with plumbing and heating issues.
