A 2022 customer said a job quoted at two days, which they had privately budgeted three for, was finished in one. Roofing runs a close second. Reviewers in 2022 and 2024 describe full tear-offs — plywood, ridge vent, drip edge, flashing and shingles — done inside a single day, with a crew on the roof at 7am. A 2023 customer had a flat roof redone in rubber membrane and reported the leaks gone. Windows, gutters, trim, shutters, a front door and a porch-and-deck redo turn up across the same years. How the outfit handles trouble is the more telling part. A 2023 reviewer whose materials and roofline angles had gone wrong during a pandemic-stalled project said Ray drove past to catch a problem early and stayed in constant contact until it was solved. A 2021 customer whose eight-month-old siding was pierced by a storm-thrown branch was charged nothing for the replacement. The company says it is family-owned and has worked Greater Boston homes for over 15 years, and presents itself as a James Hardie fiber cement installer. It also prints a Massachusetts home improvement contractor number alongside Connecticut and Rhode Island registrations — those are its own listings rather than confirmations, so check them against the state registry before you sign. Ask directly whether Roost is the same crew as Peguero Construction and who will be running your job. The written record runs 2021 to early 2026 and it is a strong one — it was simply built under the other name.
