Oil delivery brings both praise and sharp complaints for Springers Oil LLC in Springfield. A January 2026 Google reviewer described deliveries paid for over the phone, detailed receipts left in the mailbox and years of service to the family’s home. The reviewer also said Springers could reset a furnace if needed. In October 2025, another customer praised workers for filling an old tank carefully and respecting the property; an office employee had helped correct an online ordering mistake. The company says it serves Springfield, Hampden, Tolland, South Hadley, Ludlow and Wilbraham, advertises 24/7 emergency service and says it is insured. Google lists a 2.8-star average from 30 ratings. A May 2026 reviewer alleged that a delivery worker removed a gate from its hinges while entering the backyard, even though the order identified a fill pipe at the front of the house. The customer said management initially denied the worker had entered the backyard, then requested a repair estimate after the customer supplied video. According to the reviewer, management stopped communicating after receiving the estimate. The customer said they had previously been pleased with Springers and recommended it to neighbors. Two older complaints concerned telephone service. In January 2026, a customer trying to reschedule an oil delivery said a representative hung up twice and told them never to call again. A December 2025 reviewer seeking an emergency delivery described repeated calls and four hours without a promised callback, followed by being hung up on.
I have been a loyal customer for more than 5 years. The location of my fill pipe is clearly noted on *every* order. Despite the location of my fill pipe clearly identified in the order as being at the front of my house, when I last ordered oil their delivery guy ripped the gate off my fence to access my backyard and then left it off the hinges and propped. The gate hadn't been used or opened all winter due to a frost heave, but there was no need for anyone to open the gate since the fill pipe is accessible at the front of the house. When we noticed that the gate had been ripped off the hinges, I contacted the "manager" who initially told me that his guy said he never even walked as far as the gate and definitely didn't enter the backyard. I then provided video of the guy in my backyard proving that his story was false. The "manager" then asked me to get an estimate to repair the fence which I did and provided by email. The repair estimate was inexpensive but the "manager" then stopped communicating with me entirely. I have called and/or emailed weekly and am consistently told the "manager" is not in the office. Terrible customer relations, especially with an established loyal customer. Very unfortunate. Prior to this incident I was pleased with the service from Springers and even recommended them to neighbors. *This entire situation is verifiable by email and video*
Literally a god send...drops off oil if paid over the phone. They come everytime and leave a detailed receipt in mailbox. They've been servicing my families home for years. Highly recommend, they can also reset a furnace if needed 💛
Customer service rep, Stephen, hung up on me twice. Do not use this company So I called to schedule a oil delivery. After scheduling and delivery for today, I called back after realizing no one could be there to meet the driver. A man named Steve picked up the phone. He was rude, dismissive, it wouldn't explain why we couldn't schedule it for a further time out he ended up hanging up on me I called back and spoke to a woman who was very nice to deal with but when I told her about it Steve picked up the phone and told me to never call here again and hung up. No one should be treated like that.
I called this company 5 times (every hour on the hour) regarding an emergency delivery. (My fault for letting it run low, I will admit) Every time they took my information and said that they would get back to me “shortly”. After 4 calls (and 4 hours of waiting on a return call), I asked to be patched through to the office to speak to someone as I was frustrated with asking for an emergency delivery multiple times and no one seeming to have a sense of urgency or no one available to take calls for this type of situation. I was told “someone will call you when they’re available” and was hung up on. Do not advertise an emergency delivery service unless you are actually willing to help people in a timely manner.
I don't know why all the negativity? I have had nothing but professional service from them for going on two years. My tank is very old and you need to go slow. They have always respected that. The lady I've spoken to at the office is very nice. I made an error online and she helped me fix it. The people that fill my tank are respectful of my property and nice. As a retired business owner I like the sassy response. Some people are jerks. You have some idiot leaving a comment with no personal interaction. BTW you can request Google to remove that. Give these nice people a break!
