T&K Mechanical is a Quincy family shop — Tim and Kevin are the two names that show up again and again — that a long list of repeat customers call for HVAC and plumbing work, several describing relationships stretching back a decade or more. The work spans full central-air and heat-pump installs to same-day furnace and water-heater repairs. A recent review describes a full home AC install where the crew went out of its way to route ductwork around the attic so the homeowner kept most of their storage space, beating a competitive price from a company they'd also gotten quotes from. Another current customer has used T&K for over ten years — installing a condensate boiler, moving air conditioners, and eventually converting the whole system to three Bosch heat pumps, with yearly maintenance since. In a February 2026 review, a homeowner who'd gotten an "extremely high" furnace quote from a corporate HVAC company said Tim came out the next day, confirmed the diagnosis, and had the furnace running again for a reasonable price within hours. In a 2024 review, the owners came for a boiler estimate and, while there, fixed an unrelated central-air problem for free in ten minutes because the homeowner happened to mention it. The record isn't spotless. A 2022 review described a boiler install that leaked after the crew left, was never properly vented, developed internal rust within two weeks, and — because no permit had been pulled until the homeowner went to town hall herself — voided the boiler's ten-year manufacturer guarantee. A 2024 review said a four-year-old central-AC install had zero airflow in several rooms from day one, with annual return visits that never fixed it. Two more reviews, from 2024 and 2025, describe missed appointments — one a no-call no-show followed by a $200 bill, the other a job that dragged out over months with repeated no-shows. Its BBB grade is an A+, and Google shows 4.8★ across 142 ratings. For routine HVAC work — a repair, a heat pump conversion, an emergency furnace fix — T&K's long list of repeat customers speaks for itself; for a bigger install, especially one needing a permit, it's worth confirming in writing that permitting and final inspection are handled before the crew leaves.
Tim^2 and Kevin went above and beyond with our full home AC install! They offered a competitive price, did a very professional install and in fact they went out of their way to minimize ductwork impact to our attic so we still had a majority of our storage space available. They could not have been easier to work with and they are highly recommended. I’m knowledgeable on HVAC and plumbing and their initial recommendations for equipment and layout were spot on. Be assured you’ll be very happy with them for any new installs or maintenance.
T&K is a great shop. Family business, very knowledgeable and they really know their stuff. Highly recommend!
Very satisfied with the work completed. A challenging repair to an older system. Tim is very knowledgeable and responsive even during a recent heatwave. I appreciate his good work and would recommend T&K services to family and friends. I will be calling T&K for AC needs in the future.
The time between making my first phone call to the company's principal to the completion of th project was spectacularly brief, and the quality of the work was superb. One of the most well oiled organization of specialists i've ever witnessed. Huge kudos.
Good company that we have used for years. Definitely recommended.
