TAGS Building and Remodeling says on its website that it offers a wide range of services, whether a homeowner is updating a single room or planning a major remodel. It reports 10 years in business and lists service towns including Charlton, Worcester, Oxford, Leicester and Shrewsbury. Its MA home improvement contractor licence 216744 is active on the state registry. One customer says TAGS demoed and rebuilt their back deck and gave fair prices broken down by the owner. Another says George came to the house with a full plan for a deck remodel, fully replaced the deck and fixed structure damage he found on the foundation. A customer says TAGS did a composite deck for them in Worcester MA. One customer says TAGS replaced shingles on an older section of their roof, found rafter rot and sheeting that was shot, and handled it all. Another says George and his team replaced their front door and storm door and cleaned up well after. A customer says the team at TAGS installed 3 new doors, LVP flooring and an upgraded counter top in their old farmhouse. Another says George turned their enclosed front porch into a useable living space. In a 2025 review, a customer said TAGS installed two replacement windows in their attic in one day, cutting out the walls and framing in the windows, for $500 and $1000 less than two other estimates. One customer says Taggs Remodeling installed a new shower whose tile came out great, but the curb was pitched the wrong direction; they say Taggs was a no-call, no-show for the agreed repair date and has not responded since, and that they are pursuing the matter in small claims court.
Disappointing experience -- unresolved workmanship issue Taggs Remodeling installed a new shower for us a few months ago. I want to be fair and say that the shower tile itself came out great. Unfortunately, there is a significant issue with the shower curb that still has not been resolved. After the installation, the glass company identified that the shower curb was pitched in the wrong direction. Instead of directing water back into the shower, the curb pitches outward, which means water hitting the shower glass can run outside the shower. Because of this issue, the glass company will not install the shower glass until the curb is properly repaired. I spoke with George at Taggs about the problem and we agreed on a date for him to come back and make the repair. I took the day off from work specifically for the appointment, but Taggs was a no-call, no-show. After several calls, I eventually reached George, who told me he would call to reschedule. That was two months ago. Since then, I have made several phone calls, left voicemails, and sent text messages, but I have received no response. I paid approximately $15,000 for this project, and I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the contractor to stand behind the work and correct a workmanship issue when it is brought to their attention. At this point, I am pursuing the matter through small claims court so I can have another contractor make the necessary repair. Again, the tile work looked good, which is why I initially would have been willing to recommend Taggs. However, the lack of communication and failure to address a problem with the installation has completely changed my opinion. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Taggs Remodeling.
