The Fireplace Connection

In a September 2023 Google review, a customer wrote that their chimney had turned into a bat cave, and that The Fireplace Connection came to measure, ordered a cap and installed it, all in about a week. The Fireplace Connection is a South Weymouth, Massachusetts fireplace and stove business. Its site says it installs and replaces wood, pellet, gas and electric fireplaces, inserts and stoves, and that it has been in business 35 years. A Patriot Ledger article names Malcolm Gurney as the owner. In August 2025 a customer wrote that they needed to convert a gas fireplace to an electric one; Maryann welcomed them at the shop, and Malcolm came, measured and laid out the options. In September 2023 a customer who has their pellet stove cleaned every year wrote that the technicians know how all the parts of the stove work. In February 2024 a customer wrote that technicians repaired their pellet stove, explained the problem, covered the hardwood floors to avoid scratches, and charged a fair price. A June 2026 reviewer with a Harmon pellet stove mentions fair prices, and a May 2026 reviewer has used the company for years. In March 2022 a one-star reviewer wrote that staff told them in December 2021 that the wood stove they wanted, with cash in hand, was promised to another customer; the stove was still in the showroom in March, and the reviewer bought the same stove in Hanson within 24 hours. On Google it holds 4.6 stars from 19 ratings.
