A 2022 Houzz customer wrote that Tough Guys Home Improvements removed a wall and all its debris along a long hallway, opening up the floor plan. That 2022 customer said matching the ceilings and decorative trim was tricky, and that Tough Guys protected their belongings from dust. A 2024 Thumbtack customer wrote that Tough Guys installed support beams where a wall used to be. A 2023 Google reviewer said Wally did a deck for them and it came in within their budget. A 2023 Thumbtack customer who had used Tough Guys for a deck the year before said they had a quote within days for commercial work on their building, and the list was finished in 2 weeks. A 2023 Thumbtack customer wrote of hiring Wally and his team in May 2021 for basement renovations that were still ongoing at the time. A 2023 Angi customer who could not check in on the work daily said Wally answered questions by phone and sent samples by phone. A 2023 Google reviewer who fired Tough Guys on 3/13/23 listed a shower tile floor that was not pitched, closet doors framed to the incorrect size, drywall issues and trash left in their parking lot. That 2023 reviewer also cited change orders without approval and "terrible communication." Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 206334, is expired on the state registry.
