Tuleika Building Company is a custom home builder working out of Osterville on Cape Cod, run by Viktar Tuleika. Its BBB profile says the company started in 2012 with three employees and offers new construction, additions, remodeling and restoration; its Houzz profile says it has built custom Cape Cod homes since 2002 and takes one home at a time. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 188661, is verified active with the state registry. The work customers describe is big — whole houses, not odd jobs. A 2023 reviewer had their summer home and its foundation torn out and replaced with a new architecturally designed five-bedroom year-round home of about 5,900 square feet plus a three-car garage. A 2026 reviewer had a 1,700 square foot addition built and singled out the thinking that came before the building, saying the company steered them away from decisions they would have regretted. A 2024 reviewer described a 200-year-old house with no septic, heat or insulation brought back to life on a set budget, and another 2024 reviewer described a 40-year-old home restored with quick answers to questions and schedules that held. The reputation extends past the review platforms. In a 2025 Reddit thread a Cape Cod commenter said the company had been good about showing up and communicating and had just finished a house in Falmouth that it took over after another builder walked off mid-project with a large deposit; a separate 2025 commenter called the owner knowledgeable and straightforward and the value good. Smaller work appears too: a 2021 reviewer had every second-storey window replaced with Andersen 400 series units, fully trimmed inside and out, finished in a single day with the crew cleaning up after themselves. What is worth asking about is capacity and scale. The written record is uniformly positive but shallow — six reviews on file across five sources, so there is no body of complaints to weigh against it, and the company's own Houzz profile says it works on one home at a time, which is a scheduling constraint as much as a selling point. Ask where your project would sit in that queue, and note that the profiles give three different Barnstable villages as the base — Osterville, Cotuit and West Barnstable — so confirm which address the contract will carry.
“You might want to call Tuleika Building Company .. they’ve been great about actually showing up and communicating. Just finished a house in Falmouth that they took over after another builder bailed mid-project and took a big deposit. Solid work, honest company.”
“You’ll get great value for your money with Tuleika Building Company. Viktar, the owner, is highly knowledgeable, straightforward and delivers top-quality work.”
Great experience working with this builder. Professional, reliable, and the quality of work really speaks for itself. Communication was smooth throughout the whole process and everything was handled efficiently and on time. Definitely someone I’d recommend if you’re looking for quality craftsmanship and dependable service.
Tuleika Building Company just completed a 1,700 sq ft addition to our home and I can't recommend them highly enough. What set them apart wasn't just the quality of the work...it was how they thought. Before anything was built, they had already helped us avoid decisions that would have cost us significantly down the road. That kind of proactive guidance is almost impossible to find and it made an enormous difference. The whole process felt organized and under control. Communication was consistent, the craftsmanship is beautiful and the addition looks like it was always part of the house. What could have been an overwhelming experience genuinely wasn't. If you're considering a major project, don't underestimate how much the right builder matters. Tuleika earned our trust completely and that's not something I say lightly.
I met Viktar in 2011 while searching for a good contractor who could resurrect a 200 plus year old house with no septic, no heat and no insulation . He worked with a budget that created a beautiful home my wife and I enjoyed for 12 years. From pouring a new foundation to ripping walls open to the studs he and his crew did amazing and quality work. You can see the final result on Zillow , 208 Route 6A in yarmouth port . We liked his work so much that he was hired again to take over construction of a larger project also on 6A. The people he hired for interior work were amazing. I can't say enough good things about him and his company. You won't find a more talented and resourceful person in this difficult industry. Try him if you want something done well!
From start to finish working with Viktar to bring a 40 year old home back to life was exhilarating. Quick response to questions, met schedules (there was a daily due to us changing window style, but handles well), friendly, respectful crews. Overall couldn't be happier with Tuleika Building Company.
Viktar Tuleika and his team tore down our existing summer home, removed the foundation and poured a brand new foundation and built a brand new architecturally designed 5 BR year-round luxury home in its place, with 5893 sf finished living space plus 2,000 sf of attached 3-car garage, two screened porches and two large decks. He built us a beautiful home with old-world quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Viktar is also the most honest builder I’ve ever worked with — exceptionally honest and trustworthy, and his team reflects that ethical approach as well. The framing of the house is complicated and high end, in keeping with Viktar’s past experience building homes for one of Cape Cod’s most prestigious luxury design-and-build home construction companies. The interior finish work and trim is high quality, with coffered ceilings and other fine details. All our interior staircases, decks and screen porches have stainless steel cable railing systems. Our finished basement is as dry as a bone, which was not the case with our summer house, because he excavated away all the clay that was surrounding our original foundation, brought in truckloads of sand to replace the clay, dug an extensive network of foundation drains and used high density concrete that is far more impermeable to water and dampness than normal concrete. Our house was started in late 2019 and completed during the worst period of the COVID pandemic, but his team worked non-stop throughout the entire pandemic and completed our home from start to finish in a little over 18 months, which was remarkable. We hired an architect and a designer, each of whom helped us design and manage various key aspects of the project, and Viktar worked very well and collaboratively with them. Viktar is very cost-conscious, and I believe we received tremendous value in return for what he was paid. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking an honest, fairly priced and highly skilled builder, including for high-end luxury homes like the one he built for us.
