A $344,000 gut renovation in Marblehead, a three-family build in Dorchester, and a 1953 ranch whose bathroom floor came up to reveal decades of failing plumbing. TV Builders works at both ends of the residential scale, out of 1500 Shawsheen St in Tewksbury, and describes itself as a remodeler and custom-home builder covering ten named towns from Lowell and Lawrence down to Quincy, plus Nashua just over the New Hampshire line. Its permit history tells a bigger story than the website does: ten permitted projects on BuildZoom at a typical value near $628,000, weighted toward Boston-area new construction and full gut renovations. On Google the company averages 4★ across 8 ratings. A homeowner writing in June 2025 described two bathrooms and an outdoor patio with a custom kitchen done over two years, including the surprise buried under that 1953 ranch's floor; another that month credited a kitchen renovation. In a September 2025 review, a repeat client listed total building remodels, garage repair, bathroom remodels and siding. Michael — 'Mike' in several accounts — is the name customers keep using, along with finishing ahead of schedule and inside budget. The one complaint on file is about getting to the front door rather than the finished work. In a January 2026 review, a homeowner said she left work early to meet 'Steve from TV builder' for a 4pm Friday estimate, arrived at 4:04, and found he had already come and gone with no call or text in either direction. Worth settling in advance who is actually coming and how the appointment gets confirmed. Two other things to weigh. The company's site promises '100% Customer Satisfaction' and advertises '5-Star Google Reviews', which its own 4★ Google average across 8 ratings does not bear out. A '$200 CASH FOR REFERRAL' banner also sits at the top of every page, which is useful context when reading the praise. The right call for a substantial project — a whole-house renovation, a gut kitchen or bath, or a ground-up build — where a permit record at this scale counts for something. Before booking, ask for the Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration number and check it with the Office of Consumer Affairs; BuildZoom lists a registration for the company, but that is the directory's claim rather than a confirmation from the state.

Steve from TV builder scheduled to come look at a remodeling project in my home for 4pm on Friday. I explained to him that I work full time but would leave work as early as I could to meet him. I raced home and was at my home at 4:04 pm. I texted him to see if he was on his way he reported that he had been but left. 1.he never texted or called to say he was on his way nor did he text or call to say he was at my home. 2. I was not able to text him as I was driving to let him know I Ran into some traffic and would be literally five minutes late 3. When I did text him, he responded that he was on the highway and would not turn around. My home is a five minute drive to the highway. I will not be rescheduling with this company as they are Not flexible or understanding and unwilling to wait five minutes. Nor would I ever recommend this company

TV Builders demonstrates the ideal principals desired for any remodel; professional, communicative, and diligent with craftmanship design considered alongside quality that ensures longevity. Excellent correspondence and commitment to the job with attention to detailed touches that finish the project off as well as ensuring the overarching construction is expertly accomplished. We have used TV Builders for total remodels of entire buildings, garage repair, bathroom remodels and home siding. Every time, we are more than satisfied and find ourselves calling again when the next project comes around. There is never a concern that the little details of a project are overlooked while the whole job is finished timely and correctly. Trusted with small jobs and large overhauls, TV Builders gets the job done right.

Michael has done two bathrooms and an outdoor patio with custom kitchen for me in the past 2 yrs. The basement bathroom remodel was supposed to be a fluff-n-buff but this 1953 ranch had other ideas when they opened up the floor/walls to find an ungodly amount of decrepid plumbing. Thank goodness he is a problem-solver extroidinaire. The upstairs batchroom was a complete gut job for my dream bathroom. OMG did it turn out GREAT! I then moved to a side patio project last year where I spent as much as I did on both bathrooms! But it is phenomenal - very unique patio and gorgeous retaining wall that matches an outdoor kitchen island - all custom - plus hot tub and architectural-digest fence! I mean it is just beautful and I couldn't be happier. Next up: kitchen later this year! I won't even get a 2nd quote because all 3 projects were fairly priced and likely underpriced given all the changes I made. Highly recommend.
