West Roxbury Electrical Service presents itself as a residential and commercial electrician serving West Roxbury from 330 Baker Street. Its site describes routine maintenance, emergency repairs, upgrades, outlet and light-fixture work, panel upgrades, and new power lines. The written customer experience is sharply negative: in a December 2024 review, a customer said an appointment was rescheduled, no one arrived on the new date, and the company then said it did not provide the requested service. That account is specific and directly concerns scheduling and service fit, so confirm availability, scope, and the appointment in writing before relying on a booking. This may be worth considering for a clearly defined electrical repair or upgrade if the company confirms it handles the job, but the available review history is extremely thin and the only detailed review reports a failed appointment. Ask who will perform the work, what is included, and when the crew will arrive before authorizing service.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from West Roxbury Electrician. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Standard receptacle swaps — a new dedicated circuit is a bigger job ($350–$750).
Flush mounts, pendants, chandeliers — hung on existing boxes.
Estimated range
$530 – $1,100
Typical electrical project around $820
They are very unprofessional and disorganized. I had an appointment for Friday, but they called last minute and rescheduled to Monday. Again, on Monday, no one came. When I called after the time has past, they mentioned, "ohh, we were about to call you, we don't provide this service", thereby wasting my 3 days.
