Somebody called in August 2025 after another flooring place had hung up on them; Westford Custom Floors picked up and helped them track down what they were after. That is the retail half of the business — a family-owned Westford showroom selling and installing floors since 1986. Hardwood is what customers come back for. A January 2024 buyer swapped upstairs carpet for maple, took samples home first, and called the prices outstanding. A July 2023 customer had their hardwood redone and said they would return for the next floor. In February 2025 a family who had just bought a house had carpet put in the bedrooms and the downstairs hardwood, stair treads and upstairs hallway refinished, and ran into an unexpected problem with one of the downstairs floors partway through. An April 2024 reviewer has used the company in this home and several previous ones, and singles out John for knowing his products and making suggestions. The installers get their own credit: an October 2021 customer described the measurer arriving prompt and informative, and the installer showing up on time, working neatly and cleaning up after himself. Tile is where to ask harder questions. Its Better Business Bureau page — an A+ letter grade from the bureau rather than a customer rating, and not accredited — carries one negative customer review: a tile floor whose grout cracked and chipped and whose tiles came loose within a couple of months of the install. On Google the company runs 4.5 across 28 ratings. For carpet, hardwood, laminate or luxury vinyl this is showroom and installer in one, which is why people take samples home and come back years later. If the job is ceramic or porcelain tile, ask who handles the substrate prep and the setting, how long the workmanship warranty runs, and what happens if grout fails in the first year — and get the answer in writing.
After being hung up on by the last flooring place was very happy to talk with Westford Custom Floors who helped me to locate what I was looking for as it was relates to floors. He was very nice and very helpful and today I find that very important.
We hired Westford Custom Floors to install new carpet in bedrooms and to refinish the hardwood in the downstairs, stair treads, and upstairs hallway of the house we had just purchased. We unexpectedly discovered an issue with one of the downstairs floors, and ended up having to replace the hardwood. I was blown away by how helpful and accommodating they were, especially given the last minute change to our flooring needs. We were able to get everything finished and resolved before our move in date. Everyone was professional, responsive, and we are so pleased with how everything came out.
Always do a great job. Have used them in this home and several previous homes. John is a delight to work with. Knows his products and offers helpful suggestions.
We used WCF to replace our upstairs carpet with wood. They had some great maple flooring options and were super chill with letting us take samples home. They were easy to communicate with over the phone or email. The prices were outstanding and installation, which is non-trivial with prefinished hardwood, was done by a team that was led by a master carpenter and very reasonably priced.
We got our hardwood floors redone with this company and they did an outstanding job. We will be back once we're ready for our next floor project!
