The company describes itself as a national window and door replacement company with multiple U.S. locations, including Boston, that quotes online with no sales pressure. A 2026 customer said David showed up on time and quickly completed the work. A 2025 customer who replaced 23 windows said the questions were answered by email, the local installer was very thorough, and Zen's price was about 20% lower than the next lowest quote. A 2025 reviewer who replaced 21 windows with Zen wrote that the quote was for SoftLite Classic Pro and that the installer took 4 days to replace the windows and exterior trim and insulate around the rough openings. A 2024 customer said the company replaced a sliding glass door, with a small delay the customer put down to permit processing. A 2025 customer who left a one-star review said they signed at the end of July after being told in writing that installation would happen within 4–6 weeks, and that by mid-November the windows were still not installed and the date had been pushed to mid-December. The same 2025 customer said the person sent to measure kept miscounting the windows and had to come out multiple times, and that updates came only after chasing the company. In a 2017 Houzz review, a customer said wood rot was found around most of the windows and Bob repaired and replaced the damage before installing the new windows.

Couldn't do the work on our last minute time frame. But responded fast and gave me a heads up on something I didn't think of!
We signed with Zen Windows at the end of July after being told—in writing—that installation would happen within 4–6 weeks. It’s now mid-November, and not only are the windows still not installed, but the installation date was just pushed again to mid-December—almost five months after signing. We specifically reviewed the timeline because we wanted this done before it gets cold. We have booked dog daycare which has to be rescheduled, it affects our schedules, plans, and will massively impact our work, which is WFH. The measuring process was chaotic. The person sent to measure always gave last-minute notice and had to come out multiple times because they kept miscounting the number of windows—always short by one. Communication throughout this process has been terrible. You have to constantly follow up for updates; Zen never reaches out proactively or takes ownership of delays. Every update comes only after you chase them. When we brought up these issues, the company’s response was to blame the original sales rep, who is “no longer with them.” Convenient excuse, but the timeline and promises were in writing. Zen has taken no accountability for the misinformation or poor service. Yes, they may be cheaper than competitors, but you truly get what you pay for—unreliable timelines, lack of professionalism, and customer service that’s downright egregious. Buyer beware!
I bought Windows with them a few years ago. Their local affiliate went out of business and I needed a window replaced under warranty due to a big crack. I called their global number and without a problem, they honored the warranty and replaced the window.
