A 2023 Reddit commenter in r/connecticut pointed people to Advanced Heating & Air Conditioning in South Windsor, CT, saying it did their AC and furnace during covid and knew its way around energizect.com loans. The company says it has been in business for 39 years. Its own site says it specializes in central A/C and heating service, repair and installation, and calls itself an Elite dealer of Heil heating and cooling products and Mitsubishi Diamond Contractors Preferred. A recent customer said the company installed Mitsubishi Electric units in their split-level home in South Windsor, from mounting the outdoor unit on the siding to an attic installation, five ceiling vents and an attic fan swapped for a return vent. That customer said Mike and his team cleaned up at the end of each day and explained the work as they went. A 2026 reviewer said the company handled their whole conversion from oil to mini splits, and that they kept it on for annual maintenance. In a 2022 review, a customer said Alan traced a short to a component in the compressor after two other companies had failed to find the problem in their AC system. A 2024 customer said they called at 8:10 on a Monday morning with a central AC failure, and Rachel dispatched a technician, Alan, who arrived at 9 as promised. A 2025 customer said Matt arrived 20 minutes early, went on the roof to inspect the AC unit and tested each register for air flow and temperature. A 2022 customer said Mike and Co. installed a new central A/C unit and furnace in 2021, added a duct, and that Mike and his wife helped them through the EnergizeCT.com process. A 2023 reviewer who signed from Woodstock, CT said their hot water heater on a geothermal system was leaking and Mike ordered a new tank with a heat pump, and that they drove over an hour to get there. The company holds an A+ grade from the BBB and 4.8 stars from 24 Google ratings, and its site says it offers free estimates and 24/7 emergency service. A 2022 customer whose house was built in 2020–21 said a service tech went through the whole system, fine-tuned it and showed them where the dampers were and how to adjust air flow to each part of the house.

This place did our whole HVAC conversion from oil to mini splits and were so great we kept them on for annual maintenance. Very reliable, knowledgeable, and honest. Fair prices. After several years, we are still really impressed with the skill and consistency this team brings. Highly recommend for any HVAC needs.
I’m writing this review 10 months after we had Advanced Heating and Air Conditioning install Mitsubishi Electric HVAC units in our split-level home in South Windsor, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Last July (2025), we were tired of dealing with window units and wanted a more comfortable, long-term solution for cooling our home. Looking back, investing in this system and choosing Advanced Heating and Air Conditioning was absolutely the right decision. From mounting the outdoor unit on our house siding to completing the attic installation and replacing the attic fan, every part of the job was done with incredible care and attention to detail. We’re especially glad we added the heat pump, since it allowed us to take the chill out of the house during the early spring months without needing to turn on the furnace. Mike and his entire team were professional, courteous, and thorough throughout the entire process. They cleaned up at the end of each day, clearly explained the work they were doing, and made sure everything was completed the right way. We had five ceiling vents installed and our attic fan replaced with a return vent, which required cutting into the ceilings, and they did an excellent job. Everything looks great, and we’ve had zero issues. I would highly recommend Advanced Heating and Air Conditioning to anyone looking to upgrade the HVAC system in their home.
Matt from Advanced arrived 20 minutes early, we extremely helpful, personable, welcomed me to watch and ask questions. He thoroughly looked over our AC unit, went on the roof to do an inspection, made a few simple recommendations for the next visit, and tested each register to confirm that we are getting good air flow and proper air temperature.....49 degrees from each register! This was the best service we have ever had and we will certainly contact Advanced for anything we need for our air conditioning and for a future central heat pump. Thank you, Matt, and Advanced!
Writing today as experienced classic central AC failure, middle of summer on the weekend. Called 8:10 AM Monday morning, Rachel was able to dispatch a tech for 9 AM and he was here on time as committed. Technician was Alan and he was the most courteous, conscientious tech ever. Think he solved the issue, but even if it proves to be something else, will have them back to continue to troubleshoot if need be. First time ever needed a technician like this so rest assured, will be using them if need ever arises point forward, and would highly recommend Advanced for your HVAC needs.
