Aluminum Age Inc. is a family-owned exterior and remodeling contractor working out of 659 Chandler Street in Tewksbury, reachable at (978) 851-2060, with Dan Valente as the named contact on its own site. It is one of the older trade businesses in the Merrimack Valley. The company says it has been at this since 1960, and the Better Business Bureau independently records a start date of 1/1/1960 with Massachusetts incorporation in 1976 — so the long history checks out rather than being a marketing round-up. What it sells is consistent across every place it is listed: vinyl siding, replacement windows and doors, storm windows and doors, trim coverage and gutter work on the outside; kitchens, bathrooms, basements, porches, decks and additions on the inside. The permit trail backs that up over more than two decades and across a wide slice of eastern Massachusetts, not just Tewksbury. Twelve permitted projects run from 1997 to 2018 — a $29,243 vinyl siding, trim and six-window job in Methuen in 2018, new vinyl siding in Lowell in 2016, a $42,050 kitchen and bath remodel and a $35,752 kitchen in Arlington in the mid-2000s, and a run of Burlington jobs including a mudroom addition combined with a reroof, siding and new windows and doors. The customer record, by contrast, is almost silent. There is a single Google rating and one written account dating to 2017; no review platform, and neither the BBB nor BuildZoom, publishes anything more recent. That is far too little to say how the company performs today, and it is why no rating is shown here. The BBB grade of A+ sits alongside the separate fact that the firm is not BBB accredited. The thing to settle before signing anything is the registration. The state registry shows Home Improvement Contractor licence 101024, held in this company's own name, as expired; BuildZoom shows the same number as inactive and flags 'no active license on file'. Massachusetts requires an active HIC registration for the non-structural remodeling work this company does — siding, windows, kitchens, baths, decks — and it is what gives a homeowner access to the Home Improvement Contractor Guaranty Fund, so no exemption applies here. Separately, the BBB profile lists four completely different Massachusetts numbers with no type or status attached to any of them, none of which the registry corroborates. For a homeowner in the Merrimack Valley wanting siding or replacement windows from a long-established local outfit, this is a reasonable company to call. Ask directly for a current HIC registration number and verify it with the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation before work starts, and ask for references from the last year or two, since none are published.

I started construction on an addition at my house and hired Dan Valente for the siding and trim. He is a very talented individual that delivers high-quality work. I couldn't have been happier with him and the professionalism he delivered. Dan's prices where more than fair and he even went above and beyond to fix some problems that I had from one of the previous contractors I had on site. Thank you for everything that you've done for me Dan I truly appreciate it !!!!
