Aluminum Products of Cape Cod works out of 476 Main Street in Dennis Port, where it says it has been making and installing exterior products since 1962 and is now a third-generation, family-owned shop. Most of what it sells it also builds: vinyl windows, storm doors and storm windows, porch enclosures, seamless aluminum gutters and vinyl shutters, fitted by its own crews rather than subcontractors. Its stated service area runs from Sandwich and Bourne-side towns out to Truro and Wellfleet, and the Better Business Bureau lists eight employees under president Paul L. Hunter. The customer record is long and unusually consistent: 32 written reviews from 2021 through 2026, and a 4.9-star Google average across 87 ratings. What people who hired them describe most often is custom fit. A homeowner in a July 2025 review said they had contacted about twenty screen companies across Massachusetts and this was the only one that took the time to talk through construction details, and their screened porch came out as envisioned. A 2024 reviewer had a custom screen door made to fit vinyl tracks; a 2022 customer replaced Andersen storm doors on two houses and noted that because the company builds the doors itself it can come back and rebuild a damaged one. Staff are named repeatedly and warmly. A 2025 reviewer credited Steve with suggesting a different approach than they had planned that saved them thousands; a 2023 reviewer named Steve and Harry for shutters and a storm door and praised how timelines were communicated; a 2022 customer described a screened-porch install delivered on schedule despite supply-chain delays. Price comes up as often as workmanship, and the most recent reviews, from February and April 2026, are short and positive. A 2025 comment in the r/CapeCod subreddit likewise described them as very helpful and fairly priced for gutter work. The one detailed criticism is worth reading before you order custom work. A November 2025 buyer commissioned a replica of an Andersen screen, was told upfront that the original fasteners could not be reproduced and accepted generic spring plungers instead, and was quoted a lead time of about three weeks that the shop made clear. On installation the cross brace turned out to be in the wrong place, which the buyer flagged as an aesthetic flaw on an otherwise good screen. They are the straightforward call for a Cape homeowner who needs a screen, storm door or replacement window made to fit rather than pulled off a shelf. Before booking, confirm the Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration BuildZoom lists as active, number 158424, and get the lead time and the exact build details in writing.
“Very helpful, and fairly priced.”
Friendly and reasonable.
Excellent customer service, product and price !!!!!! Highly recommend Aluminum Products !!!
I had Aluminum Products of Cape Cod make a single screen for me. It was to be a replica of an Andersen screen. They explained initially that the fasteners could not be replicated because of some window copyright rule (I think it is called something else, but you get it). I asked them to use generic spring plungers instead, which they did. They had a longish lead time of about three weeks, but this was made very clear to me. I picked up the window and noticed, on installation a couple of days later, that the cross brace was in the incorrect place. The screen overall was great, but aesthetically looked funny next to the screen next to it. After I contacted APCC about it, they responded within 24 hours and indicated they would fix it immediately and would let me know when done. They did their best and had it done that afternoon. I swapped the incorrect screen for the correct one and was on my way. Great customer service. It was just one screen and they could have said "sorry, you weren't specific about the cross brace" or put me at the end of the line to wait another two weeks or so. They recognized their error and fixed it very quickly.
A great experience, all around! Jason was very helpful and knowledgeable! My installer was very experienced and handled the job perfectly! The door looks great. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to refer others to this business.
