Amanda's Fuel Oil is an oil delivery company in Medford. In 2015, an r/boston commenter wrote that Amanda's Oil in Medford had delivered to them on a Sunday during the day, and said they liked the company. The company says it has been in business for 95 years and offers 24/7 emergency service. Its website lists a service area that includes Acton, Arlington, Belmont, Cambridge, Charlestown and Concord. The Better Business Bureau gives it an A+ grade. A 2022 Google reviewer called the company's customer service rude and non-responsive, said staff would not even greet the caller, and called it overpriced, pointing to contract-free suppliers they said charged up to 50 cents a gallon less. That 2022 reviewer called the drivers incompetent and rude and said one driver lost the cap for the oil pipe and complained that there was snow on the ground. The same 2022 reviewer also said the company required them to label their pipes even though there is one pipe per side of the building, going into one tank.

(1) Super rude, non-responsive and horrible customer service. They won't even greet the caller. (2) They are overpriced. Search alternatives such as Oilconn and others who are also contract free and offer prices that are up to .50 cent per gallon cheaper. (3) Their drivers are invariably incompetent and rude. One of them lost the cap for the oil pipe and complained that there was snow on the ground making delivery difficult. Also they do not follow any instruction you give them such as there is only one pipe per side of the building going into one tank on separate side of building, yet they require you to add their label to the pipes. If there is only one pipe per side of the building, you can't make a mistake.
