Its website headlines "Best Cellulose Insulation in Massachusetts and Rhode Island" and lists service towns including Uxbridge, Newburyport, Barnstable, Plymouth, Cambridge, Framingham, Cranston, Newport and Warwick. On the Better Business Bureau it describes spray foam, cellulose, fiberglass and gutter services, and it holds an A+ grade there. In another 2024 review, Eric came out quickly to give an estimate and Scott fit a porch job in quickly. In a separate 2024 review, Mitch came out to give a quote, explained everything and talked the customer out of doing extensive work. A 2021 review mentions a number of scheduling delays alongside polite staff and competitive prices. A 2025 review describes a 2022 remodel on which Anderson, as a subcontractor to Robert Lawrence Builders, was contracted for closed-cell insulation in the attic eaves but applied open-cell, skipped entire sections, and sprayed new foam over the old loose fill insulation; that 2025 review says Scott Williamson and TJ Newell offered partial "spot" repairs. A 2024 review says foam from a 2022 attic job fell out and ruined clothes in built-in drawers, and that a later insulation contractor found voids and gaps in the foam; that 2024 reviewer reported paying $12k to have it removed and redone after paying Anderson $5k.

Anderson Insulation is the best in the Boston area — full stop. Professional, knowledgeable, and flexible when we had questions or last-minute requests beyond the original plan. The work was excellent and the experience was seamless from beginning to end. We'd hire them again without a second thought.
Roddy and the rest of the team are great here! They go above and beyond. They are very polite and professional. Honestly, they could charge a lot more and it would still be a great value.
Anderson was a subcontractor to Robert Lawrence Builders for our 2022 remodel. They were contracted to apply closed-cell insulation to the eaves of our attic; they applied open-cell, skipped entire sections and then the contractor rebuilt walls, so we didn’t realize the error until much later. They left uninsulated gaps in the work, and, worst of all, we cut open walls to discover that they sprayed the new foam OVER the old loose fill insulation and cardboard retaining layer. They made similar mistakes in the basement- we contracted for closed cell foam on the rim. What we were left with is open cell, poorly installed in random locations in the basement ceiling, away from the rim. Whole sections were skipped. These are enormous errors for a reputable insulation contractor to make. Scott Williamson and TJ Newell offered partial “spot” repairs. That does not solve our problems or make us whole on the huge disruption of fixing spray foam insulation inside finished walls and ceilings. Do not hire this company.
Saw a driver in an Anderson insulation truck driving extremely recklessly in Waltham on 3/20 around 12:15. Looked like he was drinking alcohol out of a bottle in a paper bag also. Do not give this company your business.
Anderson insulation just recently provided spray in insulation and rock wool for our basement remodel. The team at Anderson made the process super simple. On the day of install the crew arrived on time, with all the right information and materials and completed the install in a few hours. They left the job site clean and I could not be happier with the results. I highly recommend Scott and his team for any project, big or small and will be calling them again for future projects.
