Barnstable County Plumbing & Heating is a one-person, Sandwich-based shop run by owner Don Mercier, doing residential plumbing and heating work on Cape Cod since 2008 — 18 years by his own account, per the company's Better Business Bureau file (where it also holds an A+ grade, though it isn't a BBB-accredited business). The clearest word of mouth is a 2019 Google review that called him the most responsive or fair plumber around, describing a customer who'd used him for years and called him a blessing for showing up and not overcharging. Google's own page currently shows a 5-star average from three ratings. There's also an older, 2016 review praising a huge selection, especially Kohler, and a friendly, knowledgeable staff in a clean, well-lit space — language that reads more like a plumbing-fixture showroom visit than an on-site repair call, so it's worth taking with a grain of salt. With so few written reviews on file, it's worth asking directly about current availability and pricing before booking, especially for anything beyond a small job — Houzz's listing for the company specifically flags small jobs welcome.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Barnstable County Plumbing & Heating,. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.

You will not find a more responsive or fair plumber around. Don has been serving out family for years and in a business of people that don't show up, or show up late, or over charge, he is a blessing. We can't recommend him enough.
Huge selection, esp Kohler. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Clean, well lit.
