When a circuit board in a homeowner's heat pump failed in June 2026, Nick Betty came out, diagnosed it, ordered the replacement and installed it within hours of the part arriving. Another customer that same month had a major electrical fault sorted and the power back on, and called it a fair price for a large job. Heat Pump Solutions works both halves of that story out of Hyannis: heat pumps and HVAC on one side, and an electrical arm it calls HPS Electrical — panel upgrades, EV chargers, generators, lighting and emergency work — on the other. Its site says it installs Mass Save approved heat pumps, services all brands, and is locally owned and run by a master electrician. The installs are where the detail sits. A March 2025 customer had two compressors and four splits in within two days and kept up with the crew over text and email; an April 2023 customer's heat pumps went in inside a single day at what they called a competitive price; a December 2025 customer had lighting and a new boiler done. In March 2024, a homeowner who could not be on site said Nick sent pictures before, during and after. Several customers describe how the place was left. On a several-day install in September 2025, the crew cleaned up at the end of each day; a March 2025 customer said the same; a December 2024 customer said they vacuumed the house before leaving. In May 2026, a customer having several split units detailed said the technician explained the process and made aftercare recommendations. And in November 2022, after the fire department shut down a heating system leaking carbon monoxide and left a homeowner without heat mid-winter, that customer said the company came immediately. Two practical things before you call. Mass Save runs through a lot of this work — an April 2023 customer used the program for a ducted heat pump and AC system at a summer house — so ask early whether your job qualifies. And the electrical side is its own arm: BuildZoom lists a Massachusetts Electrical Business licence, #9019, for the company, and the site says a master electrician runs it, so settle which crew handles a panel or EV-charger job when it is bundled with a heat pump. For a Cape Cod heat pump or mini-split install, or a retrofit where someone has to walk you through the options, this is a straightforward call. A July 2022 customer, after weeks of waiting on other companies, said this one came out in three days, emailed the estimate in hours, finished two weeks later and was two thousand cheaper.
