Start with the thing that decides whether the rest matters: the Better Business Bureau believes Castanos Painting Corporation is no longer in operation, and on the Massachusetts state registry the company's home improvement contractor registration, #180814, is expired. Its Angi and HomeAdvisor listings are still up — the same profile syndicated to both — showing 5.0 from six ratings. The written accounts, all from 2022, describe a small painting outfit working under Roger, with a painter named Emanuel alongside him. Between them they describe calls returned and crews arriving when they said they would, little flaws in walls and wood trim repaired before the paint went on, and the house left clean at the end of every night. One of those 2022 customers had first met the crew in 2019 through their remodeling contractor and liked the work enough to hire them in the summer of 2020 to paint the whole outside of the house. The BBB puts the company at 519 Somerville Ave, operating since April 2015 with three employees. Angi and HomeAdvisor claim 18 years of experience and note that Spanish is spoken and estimates are free. For an interior repaint where patching and cleanup matter, this is the kind of crew the 2022 customers described — small, hands-on, working around the household. Before anything else, confirm the company is still taking work and ask where registration #180814 stands; the state registry has it expired.
They were very professional. Always returned my calls and were there when they said they would be.
Roger was quick to respond every time i had a question. His employees were extremely professional and very experienced. They were all very respectful of our home and time constraints. They left the house clean when they left every night. I would highly recommend them
Roger and Emanuel are lovely people and excellent painters. They had great attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile -to repair little flaws on the walls and wood trim. Roger answered all my questions and selected the top quality paints and primers to use for a great end result. I think his price was very fair for the high quality work and would hire them again when needed! Thank you-weâ re so happy with how the dining room looks now
I was first introduced to Roger and his team in 2019 through our contractor for a 2nd floor remodeling. They did such a good job that we hired them that summer (2020) to paint the entire outside of our house. Rogerâ s attention to detail and focus on quality outcomes really stuck with us. We therefore hired him again in winter 2022 to paint our kitchen cabinet, additional trim and our basement. Roger and his team are our go-to painters. They take the time to do it right and offer quality results at a reasonable price.
They are amazing great customer service amazing attention to detail efficiency and good quality for the price.
