Comfort Craftsmen Mechanical, run out of Melrose, MA by Jason, keeps showing up in reviews as the company people found after searching hard for someone who actually works on geothermal systems. "It's extremely difficult to find a company that works on geothermal nevermind services them," one 2024 review says after Comfort Craftsmen fixed a geothermal issue other companies couldn't touch. The Better Business Bureau lists the company at four years in business with an A+ rating. The reviews on file run from 2022 through 2025 and describe a wide range of heating and cooling work: converting oil heat to a heat pump system and adding air conditioning (a 2022 review), installing new baseboard heat (2024), repairing Samsung mini-split units that another company had originally installed (2022), and servicing a combined solar and high-efficiency boiler system (2023). A 2024 review describes Jason's team as the only company able to send someone within an hour when an HVAC unit failed during a heatwave. Reviews from 2023 and 2025 describe Jason working alongside team members John, Tyler, and Chris. One 2022 review describes a different kind of interaction: a homeowner looking to convert from steam heat to a heat pump learned their house wasn't a good fit, and still came away with what they called invaluable direction on the project. Google shows a 5.0-star average from 24 ratings. This is a strong call for a heat pump conversion, a geothermal system, or an older boiler that's acting up — confirm which specific system types the crew has worked with for your particular setup before booking.

Great working with Jason and Chris. Everything as promised and they worked through anything that came up. Great to work with them in cutting edge technology. I have complete faith in them delivering on what is promised.
Amazing. 🤩 After searching what felt like the whole state for a geothermal HVAC technician. We found Jason. Outstanding service! Thank you so much for getting our system up and running again.
Fantastic Service, Polite, Professional and extremely knowledgeable. Fixed my Geothermal issue without any problem. I wish I found them first. It’s extremely difficult to find a company that works on geothermal nevermind services them. We are very thankfull, I would recommend to anyone looking for hvac service.
Our HVAC unit broke down during the heatwave and Comfort Craftmen was the only company that was able to deploy someone within an hour. Jason was extremely knowledgeable and broke down what the root cause was and what we could do to remedy this in the future. Our HVAC unit was back up and running within an hour of Jason being there.
Jason is knowledgeable, efficient and very fair. He, during my appointment, he xplained everything that he was doin or not doing and why. He welcomes questions and is more than willing to help the customer learn and understand! Great job well done!
