KC Air and Heat Reviews is an HVAC contractor profile serving heating and cooling needs, with Angi listing thermostat work and heat pump repair. The profile shows a 4.1-star Angi average from 69 ratings, while the reviewed experiences are mixed: homeowners praised quick heating repairs, thermostat installation, and heat pump work, but recent customers also described unanswered calls, unfinished work, refund disputes, and pricing concerns. Older open-web mentions describe successful air-conditioning service, ductwork restoration after flooding, and clean installation work. Those comments date from 2019 and 2023, so ask which technicians and processes remain current. Before booking, get the diagnosis, parts, warranty, return or refund terms, and total price in writing. Confirm who will complete the work and how follow-up issues will be handled, especially for heat-pump repairs or larger equipment jobs. KC Air and Heat may suit homeowners seeking routine HVAC or thermostat work who are comfortable checking terms carefully. Recent complaints make clear communication and written scope important next steps.

My final experience with Henry I was ghosted waiting over an hour and he never responded to a text or phone call
Feb 19, 2026 Update- added a screenshot from Henry asking for my refund today (although I already knew the answer) I wanted to share for possible any future clients. Beware. ——————————————————— I had an extremely frustrating experience with KC Air technician Henry. He initially set up backup heat for my air handler when my heat suddenly stopped working. When he later returned to inspect the outdoor unit, the backup heat stopped working, yet he denied touching anything on the outdoor compressor so I was without heat during the cold snap in mid December. I decided to give him the benefit of doubt and continued working with him. Henry then purchased and charged me for electrical boards, claiming that Daikin advised it, even though my system was still under manufacturer warranty—which I personally confirmed with Daikin. He never provided a receipt, despite me requesting it multiple times. When it came time to change the boards, Henry refused to go on the roof, stating it was too cold. After that, he changed his diagnosis entirely, saying the boards would not fix the issue after all and it was a grounded wire issue. He told me I could dismiss him since he would not work in the cold. Before leaving Henry stated the unused boards could be returned through the distributor and that a refund was possible, yet he has been completely unresponsive, ignoring my texts whenever I follow up for a refund update. When he did finally respond, he initially claimed he did not know my units were under warranty even though I have texts proving otherwise. Then he claimed that it would take 1.5 month for the refund per the distributors rules. As of now, the refund is still pending and I highly doubt I’ll get my money back. I called a different technician and he immediately identified the real problems: exposed wiring and a closed refrigerant valve. These were issues Henry never mentioned during his inspection of the outdoor compressor. This shows a clear lack of thoroughness and competence. Overall, Henry was unprofessional, rude, dismissive, and unreliable. Charging for unnecessary parts, refusing to complete work, changing diagnoses, and then going silent about a refund is completely unacceptable. I would strongly advise others not to use him.
I had a FRUSTRATING experience with this technician.
Henry was really great. He came quickly and efficiently corrected the problem and restored the heating.
Henry, from KC Air and Heat, installed our thermostat. He was professional from beginning to end.
