A February 2024 customer chose Falmouth Solar after Paul went onto the roof to measure and check for shade. The reviewer said they had contacted four solar companies, two showed up, and Paul was the only one to inspect the roof that way. Falmouth Solar is based in Falmouth and says it installs residential and small-commercial photovoltaic systems on Cape Cod, alongside battery backup, ductless heat pumps and customized multi-fuel microgrids. The company identifies Paul J Sutton as founder and president and says it has served Cape Cod for 17 years. Its history describes his earlier Falmouth-based Cape Carpentry business and subsequent renewable-energy training. The website lists photovoltaic, solar thermal and small wind turbine training at Cape Cod Community College for Sutton. The customer accounts are dated February 2024. One homeowner in Mashpee said they chose the company because it used American-made panels and praised the appearance of the installation. That customer also described tax-credit information provided at the time. Another reviewer said the company answered all their questions and offered a price they liked after shopping and comparing. A separate customer described a smooth process from consultation through installation, care in the installation work, and lower energy bills after switching to solar. Paul and his team received praise from another February reviewer for a quick installation. The company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 186626, was expired when checked against the state registry in August 2026. A separate construction supervisor license, CS-105359, was active under Steven J Hopwood's name. Those are different registrations held by different parties. BBB lists Falmouth Solar as a non-accredited solar energy design business with an A+ grade and names Paul J. Sutton as manager.
Paul and his team were awesome. Super easy, professional, fast, and it was perfectly installed. Here’s to not paying for electricity!
we went with falmouth solar because we liked that they use American made panels. and they told us about the new inflation reduction act with gives us an additional 10% income tax credit. this means a total of 40% credit plus the credits from the state and from net metering. with the rising cost of electricity we have been paying this was a no-brainer deal! thanks for a good deal, and a great looking installation for the house in Mashpee.
I called a few solar companies. 2 out of 4 showed up. Paul was the only one to actually go on the roof to measure and check for shade. He got the job. Professional at all steps
Falmouth Solar was great to work with. They did a great job answering all my questions, and the price was right. We did lots of shopping and comparing. Good job!
