General Mechanical Contractors

General Mechanical Contractors is an Auburn heating and cooling company whose website says it has been in business 76 years. The company describes its work as heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration services for residential, commercial and institutional settings, and says it provides HVAC and building automation services, including system installation and maintenance. Its HVAC licence 146-SM-B is active on the state registry. In a 2022 review, a customer who lives in a condo said their air conditioner died during a heat wave, and Mike sent out the HVAC tech right away, who diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts with a quote within a day. That 2022 review said the compressor on the roof needed a crane to replace it, and that they then replaced the condenser in a very small area above the laundry. In a 2023 review, a customer praised the prompt arrival, polite repair men and the cost. A 2020 project write-up said General Mechanical Contractors Inc. in Auburn installed transpired solar collector panels supplied by ATAS International Inc.
