Grand Flooring is largely a one-person operation — the Better Business Bureau lists it as a single-employee corporation in North Andover, run by Aliaksei Zhylinski, whom customers call Alex. He's the name in nearly every review: picking out material with the homeowner, doing the installation himself, then following up. The specific work described spans a lot of ground for one person. A 2023 review described Alex replacing carpeted stairs with hardwood and finishing that job well enough that the same customer signed him up to redo the whole second floor. Another 2023 review credited him with leveling an uneven basement subfloor before laying engineered hardwood so it would hold up, and a third described a full luxury-vinyl-tile swap for a moisture-prone basement, completed on a fast turnaround. One reviewer said the crew worked over 15 straight hours to finish a whole-house floor replacement in a single day; another described a full carpet-to-laminate conversion completed in two days, "like they were never there." Reviewers keep coming back to two things: speed and price. Quotes are described as landing close to the initial estimate, and several mention shopping other flooring companies before choosing Grand on price. The business also takes on commercial work — one review described a roughly 2,000-square-foot commercial space finished on schedule. The one thing worth asking about directly: in a February 2026 review, a customer reported gaps in the flooring and grouting done poorly — a sharp contrast to the run of five-star reviews around it, and the only complaint on file. Set against two dozen detailed positive reviews, it's worth confirming Alex's current availability and asking to see recent work before booking, but it doesn't read as a pattern. For hardwood, laminate, engineered hardwood, or vinyl tile flooring — especially a job that needs subfloor prep or a fast turnaround — this is a small, hands-on operation with a long run of specific, detailed praise behind it.

Unbelievable!! Flooring has space and grouped very poorly!
Working with Alex at Grand Flooring is always a positive experience based on the feedback we get all the time from our customers. Whether it's residential, commercial, small projects, or big projects, they are always handled in a timely manner and cost efective way. He holds all of his projects to a high standard when it comes of quality and attention to detail. Looking forward to our next project!
Working with Alex right from the beginning was great! You can tell he is very well experienced and knows what he does best. He helped me select the right type of floors for my condo and installed them very quickly! There was a patch that needed to be fixed and he ensure that it was up to my high expectations before I made any payments. Pricing is very appropriate too - and I shopped around with many floor installation companies. I would recommend Alex and his team any day again! Thank you, Alex!
The best!!!!
I got into issue with my hardwood floor refinishing, so I was looking for someone to fix in a short time as we are planning for a vacation, reached Alex regarding this, fortunately he was visiting my town sometime, quickly me and Alex agreed the terms to refinish my hardwood flooring and pricing was reasonable, flooring came out pretty good in few days, I am really impressed with his work and crew. Definitely I will be reaching him in future.
