Mark Smith and Hammersmith Associates were great to work with on a project for our condo association in the Back Bay of Boston. Mark, Dawn-Michelle, and their team dealt with trustees and multiple unit owners who all praised their work. Hammersmith did an excellent job and they were very respectful of everyone's homes and schedules. They delivered on promises: they were here when they said they'd be, the job site was left clean each day, they stayed with the job to completion, they were responsive to questions and communicated very well. Mark was willing to juggle the frequently changing schedule and he cared about doing quality work and leaving everyone satisfied. Mark was easy to deal with and made himself available for questions and provided excellent oversight. We plan to work with Hammersmith on future projects for our building.

I'm very pleased to write a positive review for Hammersmith Associates. I was highly impressed by Mark and Dawn-Michelle's professionalism, knowledge, work quality, and ability to meet deadlines. I was especially impressed by how much they knew about my building and the project before our first meeting, by their attention to detail, and their efficiency. Both were friendly, reassuring, and reliable. I was disappointed when they proved unable to undertake my project because they were so busy elsewhere. But I greatly appreciated their honesty and unwillingness to over-commit. And I was unsurprised that they are in such demand.

I have worked with Mark (Hammersmith Associates) on a number of projects over the last 8 years. I always feel confident when working with him, not only because I am sure the project will come out beautiful but also because of the positive attitude and professionalism that he brings to his work. As a designer there is often a fear in handing over a job to a contractor once the drawings are completed. I don't have that fear with Mark because I know he is there 100% with me.

Hammersmith Associates did an impressive job renovating my 3 level townhouse. I was preparing to sell the property which was in need of updating. The work they did included the removal of old wall-to-wall carpets and installation of new hardwood floors, the refinishing of old kitchen cabinets along with new paint and trim in all rooms. Additionally, the kitchen layout was changed to give it more of an open feel (at their suggestion) and new lighting installed in the kitchen, dining room and hallway. Throughout the renovation, I was kept informed and Mark and his team were always available when I had questions or concerns. Most importantly, they kept to my budget and finished in the time frame agree upon. I was amazed by the transformation and couldn't be happier with the outcome. The renovation resulted in such a substantial gain in property value, the sale price was significantly increased!! I would highly recommend Hammersmith Associates to friends and family knowing their professionalism, integrity and the quality of work.

Mark Smith and Hammersmith Associates did a three year complete gut renovation of our 2 family 8,000 square foot historic home in Boston. The project was massive; we reconfigured and reframed every floor, removed 40 tons of brick, framed in and installed a commercial elevator, installed two kitchens and ten bathrooms, installed a groundwater recharge system, managed the refurbishment of 80+ historic windows and there was no detail that Mark couldn't handle. The house is impeccable, every detail perfect, that is all thanks to Mark, his excellent team, his management skills and his attention to details. Nothing ruffled Marks feathers, despite the demands of the project, he was professional and pleasant throughout. We remain friends still. In fact, when our condominium in Puerto Rico was badly damaged by hurricane Maria, he was on a plane to PR on day 7 in extreme conditions to help us salvage our home and make it livable again. I recommend Mark and Hammersmith Associates completely and without hesitation.
