A June 2026 customer also praises understandable explanations and reports documenting what was discussed, with pictures where appropriate. HomeView describes itself as a one-inspector company in Exeter, serving Seacoast New Hampshire and nearby Maine and Massachusetts. Its website says Timothy D. Rooney owns and operates the business, has lived in Exeter since 1971 and has 45 years of residential and commercial construction experience, including 15 years running his own construction company. The company advertises home, condominium, multi-family and commercial inspections, along with radon, water-quality and pest testing. Rooney's New Hampshire home-inspector license, number 00027, is active. The company's website separately claims Massachusetts home-inspector license number 420. It also identifies Rooney as an ASHI Certified Member and President/Education Chair of the Northern New England ASHI chapter, and lists a 1995 HomePro Institutes graduation, an NRPP radon credential and a Maine radon-air-testing registration. In an October 2025 review, Realtor Jen Seabrooke described working with Tim Rooney when buyer clients hired him and when he inspected their listings. Jen named a Hampton listing at 214 Mill Road and praised his thoroughness, fairness and communication. A November 2025 customer likewise described a thorough property inspection and praised Tim's property knowledge. An August 2025 reviewer said Tim had inspected a home for them and their wife, describing clear, concise documentation. An older recommendation comes from a September 2012 Reddit comment. The commenter said Tim Rooney had been thorough when they bought their own house, and that their impressed Realtor later called him when the Realtor's daughter bought a house. BBB lists HomeView as accredited since March 2008 with an A+ grade, and dates the business's start to January 1995 and incorporation to February 1996. HomeView says it has been in business for 31 years. Porch also gives 31 years in its statistics but says about 25 years in its description. Google lists a 4.7-star average from 12 ratings.
