I had this company come out a little over two years ago because my water heater wasn’t igniting. After only a brief visual inspection, they told me I needed to replace the entire unit. They did not attempt any troubleshooting, including something as basic as trying to reset it. After they left, I did my own research, watched a few videos, and learned how to relight/reset the water heater myself. It started working again with no major issues. While the ignition has occasionally gone out during extremely cold and windy winter days, I’ve been able to reset it easily each time. More than two years later, the same water heater is still working. Based on my experience, I was disappointed that replacement was recommended so quickly without any meaningful effort to diagnose or fix the problem first. I expected a more thorough assessment before being told such an expensive repair was necessary.
