JAE Building will swap a doorknob or take on a full addition — and on Cape Cod, it's the addition and whole-house work that draws the praise. Run by Joshua Eldredge, the company works both directly for homeowners and as a sub for other general contractors. A family room addition is the standout: a homeowner writing in December 2024 said Josh and Victor left them fully satisfied with the finished room, calling the crew knowledgeable, responsive, and professional. Other reviewers from the same December wrote about crews that showed up on time, worked hard, and finished the job as promised, and described Josh himself as honest, an effective problem solver, and a clear communicator running an experienced, dependable crew. That praise sits next to a real complaint. A Better Business Bureau review reports the company measured a customer's windows incorrectly, leaving them too small for their openings, on a job that also covered siding and roofing. It's a costly kind of mistake to fix after the fact, and worth asking directly how a callback would be handled. Two things about the company's paperwork are worth knowing.
