Earlier this season, we had the pleasure of welcoming the homeowners into their new coastal home. Created in collaboration with architect @petermcdonaldarchitects , the home pairs a wood-shingled exterior and sweeping coastal views with exposed beams, warm finishes, and open living spaces. We’re honored to have our Artists Retreat project in Truro featured in the Fall 2026 issue of @bostonhomemag. Titled “Artistry in Motion,” the editorial explores a thoughtfully designed home where architecture, art, and the natural Cape Cod landscape come together in quiet harmony.

Tucked behind a sand dune and surrounded by native grasses, mature trees, and conserved wetlands, the contemporary retreat was created for two artists seeking simplicity, privacy, and space to create. Expansive windows draw the surrounding landscape into the home, while exposed wood beams, warm natural finishes, open living spaces, and two dedicated studios give the interiors a sense of ease and creative energy. Carefully integrated into its sloping site, the home feels distinctly modern while remaining respectful of its delicate coastal setting.

We took it back to the ’70s for this year’s Windmill Weekend Parade! ✌️

With this year’s theme, “Eastham Rocks,” our team rolled through the parade in our very own old-school VW Bus float, built and painted by our talented Cape Associates Woodshop team. Tie-dye T-shirts, classic rock, candy necklaces, and inflatable guitars helped bring the theme to life and made for a fun day representing Cape Associates in the community.

A huge thank you to our Woodshop team for all the time, creativity, and craftsmanship that went into building the float, and to every employee and family member who came out to represent Cape Associates. We’re especially grateful to everyone who joined us despite the less-than-perfect weather later in the day.

It was a great morning celebrating Eastham, our community, and the people who make Cape Associates such a special team. Eastham definitely rocked! 🎸
