We were daunted by our kitchen reno project - we had heard horror stories from others about blown budgets, delays, and poor workmanship. We talked to a ton of people before finally landing on James and we are so glad we did. He was on site every day, and collaborated closely with us on every decision. We love our new kitchen, and the experience was all we hoped for. He finished right on time, and we passed inspection. The only advise I will give to homeowners is to make sure the sub electrician and plumber actually look at the site and work before they give him the quote.PS James is also a really nice guy, super funny, and plays good tunes!

My wife and I hired James to completely re-do our original 1960s kitchen and he did not disappoint! From our initial meeting with him we could tell we were in good and capable hands. He has a great attention to detail and isn't above redoing and fine tuning something if he feels it can look better. He is extremely friendly and easy to work with as was every worker he brought into our home. He was able to address any problems that came up in creative and effective ways and was very open to changes during the process without pushing the timeline. Our project was a complete gut job spanning the kitchen, den, dining room and entry way, including the removal of 3 walls and installation of a new support beam and the entire project came out better than we ever imagined and has completely changed our home for the better. We are extremely happy to have found James for our kitchen and already plan to have him back to redo our bathrooms in the future. We highly recommend JEJ!

His willingness to be creative, to work with us on our bespoke plans for our water damaged kitchen (he even worked with my drawings), his integrity and transparency with pricing, and his hands-on approach meant that the whole experience was a happy one.
