Macco Construction is a Boston-area residential construction company based at 16 Virginia Street and says it has 34 years of experience. The company identifies Mark Cabral as owner and describes work ranging from framing and new construction to kitchen and bathroom remodeling, windows, demolition, and accessory dwelling units. Its stated service area covers Boston and surrounding communities across Suffolk, Norfolk, Middlesex, Plymouth, and Essex counties. The small but recent Google review history is consistently positive. In an April 2026 review, a homeowner described a difficult Victorian-house roof replacement, porch-column and base replacement, and painting, praising the crew's attention to detail and independence. A February 2026 reviewer said Mark explained the project from start to finish and that office manager Jen was helpful from the first call. Google shows 5 stars from two ratings. Before booking, ask for the exact scope, schedule, and responsible license holder for your project. A Massachusetts HIC license numbered 160238 is registry-verified active for Macco Construction Corp., while the BuildZoom page itself does not display license claims. A separate public database reports a $5,280 OSHA safety-related penalty from 2012; that historical action is worth discussing alongside current insurance, safety practices, permits, and project references. Macco looks best suited to homeowners seeking a broad residential build or renovation partner, especially for framing and larger remodeling work. Confirm the written estimate, permits, active insurance, crew supervision, and references for work similar to yours before signing.

could really not be any happier with the work that Mark & his team had done for me over the past five years. I have a pretty large Victorian from the early 1900s. They replaced my very tricky roof as well as replaced all the columns and bases on my front porch and painted . Everything was completed with great attention to detail what really stands out to me is how professional and self-sufficient they were . They did not need any oversight and everything came out perfectly, no exaggeration. I can't properly articulate how difficult my roof is, but besides dormers and being a hip roof in parts and angled ... NO LEAKS , It looks beautiful. The carpentry work on my front porch again tricky with columns and bases and curved railings--perfect . I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a high-quality workmanship and reliable service
Mark C took the time to explain how the whole project was going to happen, from start to finish, came out better than I expected, also Jen office manager was very helpful, from when the first phone call, 5 stars
