JocCole "JC" Burton, LEED AP BD+C, founded the Dorchester firm and runs it as CEO; a January 2023 Boston.gov bio calls it a Dorchester-based general contractor with multimillion-dollar annual revenue working in life science, high-density residential and tenant up-fit. The projects named publicly are commercial in scale. A March 2023 LinkedIn post about the topping-off of The Foundry at Drydock — a 228,000-square-foot life science campus — listed Maven on the project team alongside John Moriarty & Associates and SGA. A 2021 write-up described the company as a Dorchester startup focused on energy efficiency, energy retrofits, multi-family housing, retail and municipal projects, and in February 2022 Siemens named Maven among nine Black-owned businesses receiving entrepreneurship grants. A 2020 Next City piece and a 2023 trade profile describe the firm as woman- and minority-owned; the Boston Chamber's 2021 write-up places it under the Woodline Solutions umbrella. Burton herself turns up regularly on industry panels, from a 2023 Tufts fireside chat to a 2024 Massachusetts Building Congress program on the Roxbury P3 redevelopment.
