Newgate Oil Company

Newgate Oil Company delivers heating oil and services the boilers and furnaces it fuels. A recent Google customer said they have used the company for years for oil and repairs, and that it saved them from getting ripped off by large companies many times. The company says it has been in business 91 years, and its website names fourteen towns it serves, among them Avon, Hartford, West Hartford and Simsbury. A 2023 customer who had used Newgate since buying their home in 2020 said its oil deliveries were always timely, and that it had recently switched them from oil heat to natural gas. A 2021 customer said the father-and-son team replaced an original 275-gallon oil tank in a house more than 65 years old and installed it on the promised date. A 2022 customer who had just bought a first home said the company replaced an oil tank more than 60 years old and took the time to explain things. A 2024 customer said their parents woke up with no heat on a chilly Saturday morning and the owner was at their house quickly to fix it. A 2023 customer said they called for emergency service when their furnace stopped working, were told the on-call tech would be let know, and nobody showed up or called.
