North Shore Carpentry and Construction is a Peabody-based carpentry and general contracting outfit, run by owner Ronaldo. In a 2021 review, a homeowner described hiring the company after a previous contractor abandoned a front-porch-to-living-space renovation at week nine, roughly 80% complete, with exposed wiring and an unfinished exterior — Ronaldo came out to assess what was needed and took on the job along with some additional requests. A separate 2021 review described the company building a small custom built-in wall cabinet, showing up promptly and finishing faster than expected at a reasonable price. Google shows 5 stars from 3 ratings on file. For carpentry work or finishing a stalled renovation around Peabody and the North Shore, the record on file points to a responsive, hands-on owner.
Nice and knowledgeable guys. They work hard and fair. Get the job done.
We had hired a local contractor to renovate our enclosed front porch into livable space. The job was going take only 3 weeks , which turned into six and then on the 9th week when he was no closer to completing as he was on the 6th week he quit, leaving the exterior exposed to the elements along with electrical wires exposed, a large window to be moved with our home turned upside down. A co-worker gave me NSCC's phone number. Several days later the owner, Ronaldo came out to take a look at what was needed to complete the job. Since the job was about 80% complete, I added a few additional jobs to make it worth his while. A few days later he provided us with a very reasonable quote which we accepted and then he started a few days after that. To our surprise he finished everything in 4 days and our final cost wound up being less than what the other contractor was charging for less work. He also completed the job by himself when the other contractor claimed that part of the job required. 2 men. He was professional and very thorough. We highly recommend him and will definitely use him again.
They were referred to me by a friend, showed up promptly , had a very reasonable price and got the job done quicker than I expected. They built a small custom built-in wall cabinet for me. The only criticism I have (and it’s a minor one that I didnt worry about )involved a shelf which was slightly loose fitting , But the price and service was so good I just didn’t worry about it.
