Over The Top Roofing works out of Peabody with a Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration that's active and verified, and the volume behind it is real: 4.9★ across 190 Google ratings and a 5.0★ Houzz page, with 159 written reviews stretching back to 2021. The name that comes up constantly is Sarah, the estimator who shows up with a drone — sending customers aerial photos of the actual damage before any work starts rather than asking them to take someone's word for it. One homeowner said Sarah's report included two separate proposals, a repair and a full replacement, after "all other roofers we called said we needed a new roof" — they went with the cheaper repair. That pattern, a real choice instead of a push toward the bigger job, shows up again in reviews describing competitive quotes and crews that stick to the agreed scope. The work itself ranges from a single detached garage roof to a 21-unit townhouse complex finished on schedule and a large commercial re-roof in Lynn. Junior, the owner, and his brother Paulo, the foreman, get named repeatedly for staying reachable by text through a job and checking in before, during and after; techs David and Davi handle smaller repairs and gutter fixes with the same drone-photo documentation. In a 2022 review, a homeowner described a chimney flashing repair that stopped a fireplace leak that had recurred every time it rained for years, and reviewers across the record consistently mention thorough same-day cleanup — no nails or shingles left behind. It isn't spotless: one reviewer in mid-2024 reported no call and no show for a scheduled quote, and another noted the crew didn't communicate clearly the one time a job ran past a single day. Those read as exceptions in an otherwise dense, consistent record — seven reviews in the last six months, none negative. For anything from a leaking gutter to a full tear-off, the drone inspection and a written repair-vs-replace option are worth asking for up front.
Prompt response. Nice work. Highly recommend. - Jason W
Over the top roofing replaced the shingles and roof decking for our detached single car garage. They did high quality work and finished the job in a single morning. They also came out very quickly for the estimate, and the price was very reasonable. I'd highly recommend over the top roofing!
The job was very well done and the care that went into even placing the dumpster was impressive. I’m very pleased with the final product. The only issue I had was in communication when it could not be completed in one day. I didn’t realize they had left for the day until they were gone for the weekend. However I received communication Monday morning and more communications after that. I will always prefer it done correctly over being fast.
I had a really nice experience with this company. I’m a general contractor and had an active leaking roof on a project I was working on. I did not know them previously I found them online. Over the top roofing was very responsive and I met with Sarah the day after I called. She flew a drone around the property and gave me a better insight into the work that needed to be done. I was very happy with the price and the timeline that the work was finished. I will use them again
Nothing but good things to say about Over The Top Roofing. Great price, Fast installation schedule, Quick efficient installation, Quality work and they left my property in better shape than when they arrived.
