In a time where many approach contractor relationships with trepidation and fear, working with Padriag is a refreshing breath of fresh air. He shows up when he says he's going to show up, does what he says he's going to do and charges what he said he's going to charge. He goes out of his way to communicate and keep his customer's well informed of dates, materials availability and options. Padriag and his team have done window and door replacement for us on two separate occasions and both projects went off without a hitch. He is meticulous and does an excellent job of cleaning up both along the way and after the job. I even "caught" him once lining up a set of jamb screws in perfect order before installing so there would not be a single mishap along the way. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend Padraig Smith as a general contractor and/or construction worker. Whatever you need done inside or outside your house, he’s who you want to do it or organize it. He is efficient, thorough, experienced and completely competent. He’s also a really nice person to work with. I could not be more pleased or impressed by his work or his work ethic. I had a long list of jobs; a 28’ custom wood fence needed to be built to replace a disheveled, rotten old one that should have been replaced ten years ago. I also had a myriad of odd jobs; the kind no one wants to do. I had two windows that didn’t work properly; one could have fallen out of its frame, and another that when opened, the top half would fall down and not go back up. I had a tub that was grouted with the wrong color grout and looked terrible. I had broken custom trim between my garage doors that needed replacing and repainting. I had clogged gutters. I had two locks that needed to be installed, and a sagging shelf that needed fixing in my kitchen. I had an old grill that needed to be removed from my back patio. Padraig Smith showed up each day on time at 7:30 am and plowed through the list in record time. I supplied my list before hiring him. He returned a detailed quote for each of the tasks and started the next day. His professionalism is noteworthy and his pricing very fair. I thank my lucky stars for finding him! I will also note, my house was built in 1900; there is always upkeep to do. I needed new copper valleys, new snow stops, and several slate tiles replaced. On the back side of the house, the rubber roof leaked and needed work. Padraig found and organized a roofing company for me. I am overjoyed with the quality of the work and could not be happier with the results. I have owned the property since 1994 and have never had better roofers work on the house. Padraig also organized an electrician to install and/or change eight light fixtures for me. All of this was beautifully completed in one week! Whatever you need to do, don’t hesitate to call Padraig Smith and his company, Red Sky Construction. You will be really glad that you did. I currently need a new roof hatch and I don’t want anyone else to do the job.
