A February 2026 customer alleged a serious shortfall in an S&D Oil delivery: after paying $500 and being promised oil on Thursday, the customer said the house was still cold on Monday. The customer said oil eventually arrived, but only 100 gallons instead of the agreed 150, with an unannounced priming fee and the payment still disputed. The same reviewer suspected that profiling influenced the treatment they received. These are the customer's allegations, not established findings. S&D Oil is a Woburn heating-oil supplier. Its website says it also offers burner service and has served the Greater Woburn area for 70 years; those are company claims. Customer accounts here describe fuel delivery, rather than completed burner repairs. A May 2026 customer said an online order arrived in two business days and met expectations. A December 2025 customer likewise described online payment and delivery in under 48 hours. Google shows 33 ratings averaging 4.3 stars. A January 2025 customer reported waiting five days for oil during a storm and being charged a $65 emergency fee. That customer also said they were billed for priming and starting a furnace although, in their account, neither task was performed. The delivery and fee complaints sit alongside the faster-delivery accounts; the dates and circumstances differ.

Placed online order for heating oil and in 2 business days it got delivered. Simple, convenient and relatively competitive price per gallon. Will have to follow if it lives up to the same quality of service during the heating season but so far met my expectations.
Love SD oil always reliable and lowest price around
Do not have high expectations from this company and their employees.
Very great service
If it were possible to rate my experience, I would give a -1000 stars. I feel that there has been a lack of respect and responsibility towards me as a customer, which I suspect may have been influenced by racial profiling. I made a payment on Tuesday, and the delivery representative confirmed a delivery for Thursday. However, as of Monday, my house remains cold, my child has fallen ill, and I am unable to work from home due to the circumstances. After notifying the company that I would be escalating the matter to my lawyer, I finally received a call instructing me to find another oil supplier, despite the fact that my $500 payment is still unaccounted for. I have made numerous attempts to reach out via phone and text since Friday, but my efforts have gone unanswered and unacknowledged. Finally the oil was delivered and guess what? The receipt I received appears to be forged. My agreement was for the delivery of 150 gallons of oil for $477. However, due to their lack of professionalism and reliability on their part, the delivery was not made as promised. As a result of this failure, I found myself in urgent need of oil. Instead of fulfilling the agreed-upon delivery, SandD oil decided to provide only 100 gallons and charged me for an additional primer fee without prior notification. The delivery person simply left the receipt on my table without any explanation. This situation is unacceptable and constitutes a breach of trust. I feel that this behavior amounts to theft, as I have not received what I originally paid for. Never again!
