Its site says it was founded in Boston in 1983. It shows a 4.9 from 66 ratings on Google, a 4.6 from 203 ratings on HomeAdvisor and a 4.8 from 32 ratings on Angi. Reviewers name Varouj as the person who quotes and schedules the work. Customers describe sanding and refinishing old floors, quick quotes and tidy crews. In an August 2025 review, a homeowner who had lost another company that week said the floors in their new home were sanded and sealed within their time frame. An October 2024 reviewer had 8' of hallway flooring replaced at the company's suggestion to fix an old patch. A July 2024 reviewer said the crew taped and sealed rooms to keep dust from spreading. In a 2022 review, a customer said Varouj and his team, Cang and Rigo, installed wide plank engineered hardwood in a condo, and another 2022 reviewer had new 3/4" oak laid around a round opening at the top of a spiral staircase in a 110-year-old Beacon Hill condo. The complaints are about patches and finish flaws. A March 2026 reviewer said the crew came back multiple times to fix issues on a Douglas fir floor and the finish has held up, but the patched-in areas have gone downhill. An April 2022 reviewer found applicator marks on a living room patch and was told any fix would make it worse. A 2017 reviewer found a large pool of polyurethane on the dining room floor and the work had to be redone. An August 2024 reviewer called the job a bit pricey.
Had the floor sanders refinished and patch my old Douglas fir flooring on my first floor after open floor plan remodel in 2019. They were very professional and came back multiple times to try and fix the issues. We were somewhat happy with the results and the finish has held up. The areas where they had to patch in with similar old floors however, have all gone downhill. Totally regret not ripping out and starting with new flooring. Not sure if patching floors is just a bad idea or they didn’t do it well, but anyhow my floors are falling apart. The main problem is that some planks were shaved from the bottom resulting in them sinking each time you step on them. I don’t understand why they did that.

I reached out to the Floor Sanders Co and spoke with Varouj. He was very professional and worked with me to fully understand the process since I was completely unfamiliar. There was a small miscommunication about what finish to use on the flooring, but this was remediated by Varouj very quickly. They did a great job and I love the new refinished floors.
